The Public weirdly does not have an under 30 system like basically every other nonprofit in town. I don't know why they don't. MTC, LCT, Roundabout, and even the smaller nonprofits like the Vineyard, 2St and Atlantic all have better cheap ticket or youth ticket options. But the one that claims to be "public" is the toughest. I don't get it either.

I'm also a member of the Public, but $75 is too high for me for this show.

Playwrights Horizon has probably one of the best systems: an under-30 "subscriber" program. It's free to sign up for, and essentially grants early tickets for $25 (I think?) plus guest tickets at a very reduced rate, which you are able to exchange for different dates if need be without hassle. You're essentially treated like a subscriber without having to make a large financial commitment to the season.

Playwrights also has discount codes for incredibly reduced rates for a few early performances if you don't win the Live for 5 lotto, and that's not limited to an age group.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

BAM also doesn't have any kind of under-30 membership as well, which I've always found puzzling. They do tend to have cheaper seats available at pretty much every show, but that's about it.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Just got Student tickets for the Saturday durring the extension. 2 per valid ID $30 each. Good seats on the isle

Ass an Australian I saw Fun Home and Hamilton. And it was refreshing to see real issues talked about and issues that a brought to live in a new well designed way. I found Fun Home to be very well crafted and very well written. The 3 Alisons were amazing. I did not see Michael but his U/S was amazing. I found it to be great that they did not have something based on a mainstream book or movie. And to think that Fun Home was based on a cartoon
