It's nobody's fault but you're own that you did not get tickets when you could. Sorry, but that's the truth- no one else is to blame.

You're = You are

Your = Your is a possessive adjective, like "it's nobodies fault but YOUR own".

There used to be discounts, regular priced seats, $200 premium seats, etc., for Hedwig. Everyone had options to lock in early.

I already bought a $199 premium seat for It's Only A Play for next season. At some point, the regular priced seats at that show will disappear, and the premium seats will rise in price. But I won't care, since I planned ahead... of course, I may also have a pricy ticket to a star-studded train wreck, but that's the gamble. You don't want to plan ahead or gamble, oh well...

No, kid, it is not greedy to see a show more than once. It is not greedy to rush a show more than once. Your sense of entitlement, however, is quite annoying. If you want to see the show all you have to do is cough up the cash to see it. There are many opportunities to purchase tickets. Rushing isn't the only way to do it. If that is the method that you prefer, then all you have to do is keep trying until you succeed.

Grammar.

Have the schools stopped teaching spelling as well?

I mentioned on another thread that there are some reasonable tickets for sale on ebay. Some really over priced tickets too. The best I saw was an auction for two Mezz seats for a starting bid of $300. Considering the only tix available now are $300 each, that's not a bad deal.

If you are really committed and have a credit card, going to a show for free is easy. It is usually a bit of a pain and can be stressful, so I don't do this as much as I did when i was unemployed, but here is the basic formula:

Premium seats are $400. On Stubhub, the average resale price I saw when I checked was $525. So, you can make $125 per ticket.

That means if you buy enough $400 tickets, and sell them for $125 profit, you only need to do this enough times to cover the cost of getting yourself one good premium seat as well as paying for the StubHub fees.

So, it would run you thousands of dollars (all of which you would get back), but you'd see the show for free from one of the best seats in the house. And, it technically wouldn't cost you anything, aside from the stress of those seats not selling until the last minute (since that is when people typically overpay for seats).

I'm seeing Arcade Fire for free from the front row of the VIP section in August using this methodology (using much lower ticket costs to do it, thankfully).

If people are willing to spend the money for tickets and doing it multiple times at a high price, that's not being greedy. Greedy would be if the tickets were free and someone took all of them for themselves and didn't share with anyone, even though they might have hundreds of tickets. And greedy would also be if they took said free tickets and sold them for $300 or so.

Lol, I have seen it 3 times. Never spent more than $37. And have always had a good seat or view from SRO.

In fact, I have seen most of the shows this season both on and off Broadway and I never paid more than $89 (Aladdin, first preview) for a ticket. 2 to 3 shows a week, some were free. And Have Seen Most More Than Once.

Tickets are still available for "Hedwig" I was able to pull up non premium seats for random dates in July, balcony seats as well.
I'll be doing SRO if I do see it, I'm cheap.

Grow up.

Just because YOU didn't get what you want, doesn't make the process UNFAIR. I didn't plan months ahead of time. I bought a ticket at 7:30 Tony Day. I was going to wait until later in the week, but realized: AFTER the Tonys, there likely weren't going to be tickets available. Unfair is if YOU were prevented from either buying the tickets personally or prevented from attempting rush/lotto. Not planning until it was too late, or not winning is not unfair.

This has been a hot ticket since tickets went on sale. Every one knew it was a limited run and therefore a finite number of seats.

And if you know your grammar sucks, take responsibiity for it and learn to correct it. My you do like to blame others for things, don't you?

Every actor's performance is "limited" by the length of their contract. Some are more limited than others. Now add supply & demand and that is what the complaint is about. This show has a limited supply of tickets and a high demand.

No blueberry waffles for me. I'll stick to red pancakes.
Love how everyone posts the pretty results to google image though. So kind of them.

"they don't teach grammer in schools anymore "

OMG is this guy for real? At first I thought the topic of this thread was the most preposterous, off-the-wall comment I have ever read on this board.

But his statement above made me spit out the breakfast I'm trying to eat. I can't say what I'd like to because the post would be deleted.

So I'll just beseech thee-please stop posting!

I'm pretty sure the 20 odd locations available per performance (some of which are partial view) via the lottery aren't going to help the fill the demand for tickets.
