*grabs popcorn and takes a seat*
This should be fun...
What time does coolkid and Musicmaster get home from school?
I was just about to post that she'll wear the red track suit!!
Well, I bought two tickets to the 9/4 date. Mind you, I have ZERO interest in seeing the show, but I am treating it like an investment. Wait until this is officially announced...

im just imagining in my head what "Over the Moon" would look like with Idina performing it dressed as Elphaba- now I would pay $1000 to see THAT.
...this is gonna get good. :)
But why would it close on a Thursday?
I want to gobble up some tickets but I just don't get it.
I can't wait to see coolkid and Musicalmaster's comments.
I am so tempted to buy, but I agree that a Thurs night seems strange. There are still plenty of orch and mezz seats right now, so I will wait another hour or so and see if an announcment is made. Siteforrent.com still says June 1.

My hunch is that that will be the last "public performance."
Walt - that's what I'm afraid of....I mean if it is a comp error and it didn't extend or at least not that far, they would have to refund you right? But if it is pushed out further than that date you are stuck with the tickets?
Yeah, maybe Ticketmaster forgot to put the last three dates on.
Or they're waiting to sell tickets to the real final performance.
I assume there'll be some sort of announcement today!
Are there multple Nederlanders worth of VIPs that there would be multiple final non-public performances?
And if it's a glitch or a typo, do we still have to eat service fees if those tickets don't exist? I would guess there's little risk if the performance doesn't take place, but if it actually extended to a later date, I don't want to be left with tickets for a random Thursday night.
You guys WAIT for coolkid's posts ??? I DREAD those idiotic ramblings once again !

i've bought tickets on TM before for things that have been cancelled and received full refunds, so if something happens you shouldn't have to eat the service fees. but you're right, if it goes beyond 9/4 you'll have tickets to a random thursday night.
Really? There are? Damn, where in the hell have I been?
ETA: Thanks for that info Cheryl.
It's going to extend again, just as I predicted it would when the first announced the closing.
Not to worry.
Hmmm, does this mean we'll have a different closing cast?
Just announced. http://www.playbill.com/news/article/116252.html
Final performance is now 6:30 PM, Sunday September 7th. It says people with June 1st tickets can exchange for September 7th, but there are restrictions.

The official site still says June 1st so I'm gonna wait til that changes or for an official announcement.
The official websites are NEVER updated on time.
