I'm guessing it's doubtful. Reidel thinks it will post a closing notice within 2 weeks, and claims they are losing 1/4 of a million/week.

I would be surprised if they released one. My bet is, they'll close, retool, and take it on a perpetual tour through the Heartland. That's their audience.

They're going to want to license the show, and to license it, it helps to have a recording. See: Dogfight. And Anastasio could help record it with his connections, no?

No recording means no regionals. It's becoming a rule of thumb on this board, and in this industry.

Besides, I'd be shocked if they don't already have a few "bonus tracks" for this record recorded: Anastasio and Phish versions of the songs, which apparently they have both performed in concert on multiple occasions. Like Green Day included a band version of "When It's Time" on the album before it got a legit Green Day release.

I'm pretty sure they'll do a cast recording. There are plenty of shows that barely make it past opening with them (The Story of My Life and Glory Days of recent memory). Plus I'm sure Trey would push to get it recorded.

I could see there being bonus tracks for the cast album. Phish has done both "Burn That Bridge" and "My Problem Right There" in concert before. Both have been as early as 2010 before the show even had its out of town try out. I was at a concert where Phish did Burn That Bridge, and that was before I even knew that it was in the show and remembered digging that tune.
