My daughter is very interested in auditioning for the role of Emma in the Prom movie. The press release says they are doing a nationwide search. Does anyone have an idea how she would find out more information on auditioning for the role? I appreciate any feedback. Thank you.Â

Contact Netflix as they are the ones producing this. I’m sure they should be able to provide you some info.

I'm not sure. Maybe more details will come soon?
I wouldn't be surprised if they've already started their search with the Jimmy Awards from last night. There were lots of great talent showcased.

Have her talk to her agent. Otherwise get an agent and in jig time she'll be being booked in the big time.
Seriously though, nationwide search doesn't mean they're doing open calls.
Check Backstage and social media accounts of casting agencies
Casting Director Alexa Fogel is handling the nationwide search casting of Emma:

Have your daughter's agent or manager submit her audition.

It is very unlikely that they will be accepting auditions from people without managers/agents or relative industry experience (won awards, been in other projects, been seen and considered by casting directors for other projects)
Nation wide search does not mean open casting call
If there isn’t open calls happening then submit her showreel to the casting director. They’ll almost definitely be looking for an unknown for the role so it wouldn’t hurt to put her name in the ring.
SUBMISSION POLICY:
Accepts submissions through agents and managers only. No drop-offs.
This not an open call like Maria was for West Side Story, so only people already represented in the industry will be considered, it seems.

She does not have an agent or manager yet. Thank you all for your responses.

Oh, I was hoping they would film the original Broadway show. I hope they dont mess ot up like Hairspray. One of my favorite shows this season.

I hear Kevin Spacey is the casting director, so submit your reel to him. He was going to be casting it together with Jeffrey Epstein, but, you know...he sort of left them hanging...
