movie date tomorrow

okay - weather and strike looming!...

now way to know how bad either will be.

half of you have already cancelled...

considering a "rain check" for sometime in january (and we'd have to move fast as we are losing distribution)

what do you guys think?

I'll be on and off for awhile - then on for a long while after 11pm...

hope to hear from you....

re: movie date tomorrow

I feel like that may be a wise idea, being that we've no idea what's going to happen with the strike, and it'll be hard to make contact with everybody to get things straightened out once we hear -- since it's so close.

re: movie date tomorrow

A rain check sounds like a good idea. I personally was not able to go tomorrow anyway, but I think it might be best with the potential strike (and nasty weather).

re: movie date tomorrow

I already e-mailed but to contribute here, I think a rain check is the best idea. We're not going to know until the middle of the night whether a strike is in order and, regardless, crummy weather is already here. If you all do decide to go tomorrow, have fun without me. :)

*siiiiigh*

I was so looking forward to tomorrow and I'm afraid the movie won't be in theaters for much longer. Since it seems like a raincheck is inevitable, can we still get together at a later date - movie or no movie? Life Cafe maybe?

re: movie date tomorrow

I agree, I think a rain check would be a good idea. Stupid MTA.

re: movie date tomorrow

I'm with everyone else, I was looking forward to the movie, but I'd much rather not deal with the city on strike and the crappy weather. re: movie date tomorrow

A rain check would be great though!

But, if you tell me its on, I'm there.

re: movie date tomorrow

if there is no strike, I am in. I'm fine with the weather, but it seems like I am in the minority here.

I vote for a raincheck - to early-mid January.

I'm still in PA now.

re: movie date tomorrow

re: movie date tomorrow

ah well...

it's 12:50 and they finally announced no strike (at least not for Friday) - but now it's too late to reach everyone..

most votes were for a rain check so i guess we have to start over.

taking dates for rescheduling -

must be after Jan 9th and on a Friday. Saturday's are NG for me.

email me at the same address as before..

i'll send out an email to the list.

re: movie date tomorrow

I like the suggestion that even if the movie isn't still playing, we should do something else.

ah, well. I guess it is too late to get it up and running again. re: movie date tomorrow

I think we should do something else, as well.

Akh! When do I see the movie re: movie date tomorrow

re: movie date tomorrow

Maybe if the movie isn't still playing when we all go see it, if the theaters still have their copy of the film, we can rent out one little theater and have them show it for one screening.

re: movie date tomorrow

if the movie isn't playing, we'll definitely do something else.

re: movie date tomorrow

OK. Maybe this won't be the most popular idea...but in solidarity, and to honor the fact that this scene was left out, I say we re-enact the "Contact" scene.

But seriously, I think the mall by me will have it forever. 21 theatres they have. 45 mins outside the city, I think there's a bus.

re: movie date tomorrow

if we can get it together before the end of January, we should be able to see it in the city...

re: movie date tomorrow Fine.

I think I have to be back at school the 15th.

I still haven't even seen it yet.

I think I will be seeing Kong and The Producers before it.

re: movie date tomorrow

Oh, the joy of our mall BSo...

Yeah I'm pretty sure Phantom played there for 3 months or so(I would know, I saw it 7 times..)

Well if we go to the life cafe is not a La Vie Boheme re-enactment in order? I've always wanted to dance on tables where I'm eating...
