we definitely aren't all crazy. I LOVE the show but also love other shows and don't just post wicked posts. We need a name for the normal noncrazed fan!

I myself am a big Wicked fan and I haven't even seen it! I got the cd and was a fan after the first song. I've been a big Chenoweth fan since YAGMCB and a Menzel fan since RENT. So, I was basically destined to be a Wicked fan. It is one of my favorite cd's and I think it will be one of my favorite shows once I see it (the tour is coming to L.A. next summer). What makes you a Wicked freak? I know the cd by heart and have read the book. And this year at the Tony's I thought it should have won but does that make me a Wicked freak?

I think Wicketts is good

Wicketts sounds a wee bit like rickets..... but I like it.

I am reading this thread and wondering who gets to decide who is "normal" and who isnt. Someone posted before... this is going to get real ugly. And Matt G... I am wondering why you read the "Wicked" threads, when you obviously hate the show, and think its fans are insane?

my definition of "normal": **have seen/want to see the show once...MAYBE twice.
**You listen to the CD occasionally(for me about once or twice a month).
**You aren't overly obssessive with buying show merchandise(I have the poster 'cause I buy the poster at almost every show).
**you aren't posting every two seconds in
a Wicked thread
thats my "normal"definition

So, the people that have seen the show more than twice, and listen to the CR, lets say, a few times a week, are "abnormal"?
Ok...gotcha...

I heard someone call them Shiz Kids once, I thought that was cute.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

Let's talk about the ones who show up wearing all pink and blowing bubbles so they can BE Cheno. In more ways than one, the "Cheno" fans are about 49,000 times crazier than the plain ole Wicked fans. Does anyone else want to throw them off buildings? Did you know there is one girl who has gone to pretty much every performance of the show and refuses to sit further back than the second row, and although she holds second row seats for every show, she does the lottery for every performance and stands on a certain crack on the sidewalk because it is the "Idina crack" and is lucky? Riiiiight. Because SHE'S sane. Another girl works in merchandise at the Gershwin and thinks that makes her entitled to give backstage tours, hahaha, even though she's gotten in trouble for it numerous times. She also sees the show every day. There's also this girl who hooked up with one of the backstage employees of the Gershwin so she could get backstage...they ended up hooking up on the couch in Kristin Chenoweth's dressing room.
Most of these Wicked/Cheno fans are more than crazy, they're sick in the head. Anyone who sees a show the amount of times they have...it's just sick. I saw Wicked once in December and I'm not gonna lie. I loved it. But that doesn't mean I have to go back and see it, oh, EVERY DAY. Because, like, OMG, KRISTIN is totally playing the show to me!! Did you see her blink when she was on her bubble? It was to ME!! It was a sign...she said "If I see you in the 2nd row, I will BLINK and it will be our sign!!!" *giggle* She loves me!!!
Am I the only one who thinks most Cheno / Wicked fans should be shipped by the dozen to hospitals where they can have rooms with padded walls? Ahem, make that pink sparkly padded walls.

Hey, I've got one. Let's call them:
BROADWAY THEATRE LOVERS
Why is it so hard for some of you to understand that this show is becoming THE favorite show to some people? But like me, they probably like other shows too. I'm not talking to the posters here who came up with cute, creative names. I like some of them. But to all the others who call WICKED fans, "crazy" or "obsessed" or "freaks", I got a few names for you:
Loser
Moron
Self-absorbed
Insecure
and my personal fav,
Wickedphobes.
Call me names? I fight back.
LET'S GET READY TO RRRRRRUUUUUUUMMMMMMMBBBBBLLLLEEEEEEEE!!!

It seems to me most of the insane fans like Menzel, often at the expense of Chenoweth. Don't blame the latter for the insanity.
