Sunday was the 2nd night of Channuka. Even if it WAS the first night, why is it strange? It's not considered that big of a holiday, pretty low on the religious front, actually. Gentiles assume that its a big deal like Christmas - not even close. Our big "High Holy Days" (official name) are Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and Rosh Hashana (New Year's).
If you were referring to JACKIE'S show opening on Channuka -- isn't it a channuka themed show? But even so, still not a big religious deal. As with most things Jewish, it's about family.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
