The Music Man. I like the show, but it felt like an ETERNITY!

Les Miserables, if counting operas, however, i have to say Carmen...
What a night! I was in more laps than a napkin!

Billy Elliot was very very long, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I sat through Nicholas Nickleby. It had a dinner break in the middle, plus two intermissions. My ass was numb by the curtain from sitting so long.

Kristina från Duvemåla. It was around 4 hours with intermission i think. It will be shortened with an hour for Broadway though. I read that someone who participated in the workshop and who was very positive overall, had called the journey to the states "a long one", so i guess that's what they will cut.

I also saw Lord of the Rings, but I saw it when it was in previews. It was five hours long then. And there were two intermissions.
There's a lot I am not certain of...

I didn't see Les Mis yet, but I know the original was about 4 hours long.
They changed it to 3 this time.
The longest I have seen was Gypsy- just about 3 hours.

The current Les Miz running time is 2:55.
Longest shows I've seen:
Les Miz
Nathan Lane/Matthew Broderick's The Producers (every other cast has it down to about 2 1/2, compaired to thir 2:50)
Oklahoma
Mary Poppins

Les Miserables is pretty long, but nothing can compare to Guys and Dolls.

I've heard that the first preview of Nick & Nora was interminable...

Mary Poppins was pretty long when it first opened...
The West End show "Acorn Antiques" was OVER LONG - about 3 or 3 1/4 hours (groans). The longest PLAY I've ever seen is Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf...

I went to a community theatre performance of Amadeus once ... it had to be around three hours and it felt like it would never end. My old high school did Kiss Me Kate once and, though it was probably the best show they've pulled off in the four years I went there, it dragged itself out. I don't remember the final time but it was quite long. I did like it though so it wasn't too bad.

A production of Gypsy I saw recently...I swear the scene changes took five minutes EACH. It ran for more than 3 1/2 hours. It was a shame, as Mama Rose was fabulous. But it was dreadful sitting through those scene changes...
