I would love to see both, but to save money, i think i have to settle for just one. I know West Side Story is a bigger production, but I've also heard great things about Next to Normal. Which one should i go see?

Albeit I don't know how Mazzie and Danieley are in the show (I saw it with Ripley and Spencer)...Based on a purely artistic standpoint, NEXT TO NORMAL is hands-down the way to go.

Next To Normal. It is such a brilliant production of a brilliant musical. Mazzie and Danieley are both very different than Ripley and Spencer but in such a great way.

next to normal. I've seen it numerous times with Alice, Bobby, Michael, Marin, and Jason. The show is still next to normal even though the cast changed. Marin and Jason are spectacular. I would even go as far to say that Marin is better than Alice.

Think from the posts on here N2N is in the lead, just by a fraction though, I wouldn't disagree, but would urge you to see both, do the lottery or rush and you might be able to afford both.

I got a lotto losers ticket for $40 Saturday night...and had discount codes with me just in case for seats (mezzanine) as low as $49.

I saw three shows last week...one TKTS, one box office w/discount code and one lotto loser and spent a total of $170.

West Side Story. The taste on this board is truly debatable, to say that N2N which is a little show with 6 or 7 actors on stage and 5 musicians over a ravishing classic with a fantastic cast and dancing and a wonderful score. I am not in shock, but I should be.

I think it's your taste that is debatable if you think this high school production of WSS is a masterpiece. We get it, you don't like Next to Normal. You may have mentioned it a few times.

Haven't seen Next to Normal, but West Side Story isn't as terrible as people make it out to be. Also, Natalie Cortez is amazing as Anita.

I recommend trying to see both if you have time. There are inexpensive tickets available for both. You could easily see both shows for/or less than the price of a full price ticket to one of them.
