you are exaggerating what i was saying and taking yourself and a simple question on a blog way too seriously. fact is glee is popular so was spring awakening, which launched her career. she would be a bigger star than anyone(excluding Taye Diggs and maybe on par with Idena) in the RENT film.

Ur kidding me. I loved the ReNt film because it was more realistic like when Roger sings in the desert and those parts.

PReeves -- you are taking these comments way too seriously.
NO, SA should not be made into a film...no matter who stars in it. If you can't put out a quality product, leave it alone. I don't think it would work well, and I don't think there is a true audience for it...but the Gleeks would give it a great first weekend.
For the record: Loved Spring Awakening, Hated Rent, Stongly Liked American Idiot. (Although I have no idea what that has to do with anything.)
The film rights were secured while it was still running on B'way. I believe Tom Hanks production company (PlayTone) is behind it: but dont' know if it is "going" anywhere.
