And the point of that was?
Then I am doing something right. Thank you.
"If you don't like someones grammar GET OVER IT"
Why should we get over it? Fortunately there are some people here who are concerned about the state of our country re communication skills such as spelling and grammar. The lack of those skills means a lot more than some silly posts on a board. This is about the proliferation of the uneducated.
We should NOT GET OVER IT and YOU SHOULD START CARING ABOUT IT.
Actually, WhenURScrap, the rule is you must type out the word for the number if it is under 1000.
I am reminded of the comment Robert Preston made to the dancers when they failed to pick him up at the end of Victor-Victoria.
You know the one I mean.....
Um, no lytemycandi ~ that is not correct.

I believe you were just proven wrong?
And for the record. Message boards are casual. Professional/Academic things such as essays and business letters, etc., is where you need to worry about grammar.
You know what makes me angry? Sock Puppets!
I think you need to concern yourself with grammar when you want people to easily read and understand what you writing.
"I believe you were just proven wrong? "
That sentence isn't an interrogative one, it's a statement. Lose the question mark.
"I know only 5 people in my schools theatre department that are not full of themselves."
You were still incorrect. According to your own rule, which can be disputed, if you look it up, you're still incorrect. You should haved spelled out five
Does the world really need to waste its time becasue a teenager misses an evening out?
A handful of cranky BWW posters are "the world" now? Some people don't need that kind of ego stroking.

What Lizzie said.
And technically:
"I believe you were just proved wrong."
in the strictest grammatical sense.

God, you're lucky your parents even know who Sondheim IS.
you all have no compassion in your hearts. you can't even spare a little sympathy. maybe because you have none.
has there ever been a time in your childhood when you have wanted something so bad, and then had it taken away from you? or have been told you could go or do it or have it or whatever, and then have that been changed?
And for your information, I did my homework during my free period, because my parents told me that i would go see the show. I did prepare. i did homework in advance. i knew what was coming that night and i prepared for it. the shock was when i came home from rehearsal and my parents told me that i could not go, when up until i got home, they told me that i was going with them.
Also - who cares about if my grammar and spelling and crap aren't perfect. I was pissed off and sad when I posted it, and making sure that there were periods and apostrophes was not the most important thing on my mind. This is a message board. not a college application. it may be easier for everyone to read, and I apologize for its length and confusion, but i do not think that using bad grammar in a message board post is considered bad manners. i think what you all have replied to this is bad manners.
And do not judge me for being this stuck up stupid spoiled little princess. none of you know me. how dare you all make such accusations about a person you have never met in your life.
If you spend your time ratting on some person because their grammar is imperfect, you really need to find something better to do with your lives.

Yes. I wanted to see the Ninja Turtles movie on opening night, but my parents wouldn't let me -- so I was sad and sat in my closet for the night.
But I didn't write about it on the internet.
well i thought maybe all of you would understand, and maybe share some insight, but i guess i was wrong.
I understand.
The story about the Ninja Turtles, the closet and the internet was particularly touchy.
That's the insight I'd like to share.

LizzieCurry - Do you have a blog online?
SondheimGirl- You're lucky your parents are into theatre. Mine aren't. Mine don't even go see shows I'm in.
Maybe they're just big bullies!
Maybe THEY POST HERE!!! Quick, check all the Sondheim threads!
In all fairness, whenever someone here is being picked on or disrespected, they are immediately told to "get over it." If someone doesn't proof read their post and misses punctuation or whatever...suddenly you CAN'T get over it!? Like it's the biggest attrocity in the history of mankind?
Ok, some posts are annoying or pointless or poorly structured or sloppy or whatever, but I guess one can't be THAT annoyed if they insist on replying with snide remarks which are certain to get a reaction and keep the supposedly "annoying and pointless" thread alive.
