Everything I have read about this has been very positive so far. Supposedly this is the show that will finally be Wildhorn's Broadway hit. I am not saying I believe it, but I will wait to reserve judgement.

I would much rather see Stark Sands.

I talked to Stark after I saw the Asolo production. While he loved being part of the show, he wouldn't do the Broadway show, mostly because Clyde's Jeremy's. Stark's excited to see it, though, and will be there Opening Night. :)

I've also heard nothing but positive things about this show. I, for one, am rather excited.

Jeremy Jordan has a much better voice than Stark Sands.

WONDERLAND was also supposed to be Wildhorn's big hit, getting him back to his pop roots, etc. but of course it didn't happen (and was the exact opposite). That being said, I'm thrilled people are excited for Frank's sixth Broadway production!

It's a very intimate production, with a great great set! Not to mention it'll be in the theatre that started it all for Frank's Broadway runs, the Schoenfeld (formerly the Plymouth) where Jekyll & HYDE ran for four years!

"I'm so happy she's gonna get to originate a role!"

She already originated two roles in two revivals and was a replacement in another. I wonder if you meant that she is originating a role in a new musical.

Being a replacement isn't originating and being in revivals isn't really originating either but one could argue that fact. Laura would definitely be orgininating the role of Bonnie and this would be the first time for her.

When I think of the word "orgininate" in relation to a show I think of the first person to play that role. Mary Martin in South Pacific, Ethel Merman in Gypsy, etc. I, personally, don't use it in relation to revivals.

They're very smart not to try and play a huge house like the Marquis. I still don't get why Wonderland booked that huge theatre. The fact that they are playing a smaller house is a step in the right direction.

WONDERLAND was a cast of 25, a big orchestra of 18, with big set pieces and a huge popular title connected to it. It had big operating costs and needed to fulfill the big theatre to make its costs, not to mention house everything and were hoping (from a marketing standpoint) to get foot traffic to see the show.

B&C is a MUCH MUCH smaller show, with a much smaller band, and is overall a very intimate piece of theatre rather than the large, bombast type stagings Frank is known for.

^ Good point. I think Dracula may very well be one of the most visually stunning shows. Truly breathtaking. The sets and special effects were out of this world.

To Mildred

For someone who writes crap music, his shows play all over the world & Wonderland CD is selling really well

Maybe we are the misinformed ones.Everyone is entitled to their opinion . If you do not like it that is up to you. Many including myself do.

Does anyone know the running time of the show? I know it will obviously change, but does anyone know where it currently stands?

Since Laura will eventually be leaving "Anything Goes" I would like to see Sierra Boggess or Erin Mackey play Hope Harcourt next.

"how does this man get people to invest in his shows? he is the greatest salesman in the history of broadway."

Are we talking about Jeffrey Richards?

I don't get it, either, because it's not like the man is well-liked or respected as a human being in the community either. I know several people who were completely burned by him (whether it be by working in his shows or working directly with him) and I just think the man has got some serious personality disorder issues. I DO think he's come-out with some brilliant stuff (August: Osage County among them) but I kinda cringe at the thought of supporting any of his projects with the little money I have. Not a good man.
