and throw me anything you've got. please. especially if you've seen it.
i need honest, no holds barred responses from those who have seen it. i've read the reviews, now i need to hear from those who have seen it. i don't care if you're a musical theatre snob or a screaming show queen, a true crime junkie or one of the many, and growing, "l&lophiles" downloading websites and staying up late hoping history channel will run "it" again....just as long as you saw "thrill me" and have a few minutes to type and talk freely about the show.
thanks!
beeps
ps..it doesn't have to be right now either--send me an email. i'm around.

Posted: 6/13/05 at 5:30amI saw it. The hot guy was really hot, I wish I could have seen more skin. The not-so-hot one (Matt Bauer I believe was his name) was just OK, not as impressive voice-wise as the other guy, but I thought he looked the part. The music was disappointing, it felt like they were just going through the motions. Plus their voices needed amplification, I was in the front row and I had trouble hearing them. Good sets and lighting considering the tightness of the space. I think with some fixing up it could really be something.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Posted: 6/13/05 at 10:52amI think the lyrics in particular are among the worst I have EVER heard in a musical. There's no attention paid to the characters as the writer is trying far too hard to be clever with the story (which he also fails with). And if you are interested in an accurate telling of the story, you also won't find it here. He takes some pretty major license in changing some major details. I was sorely disappointed and kind of shocked that it got such favorable reviews.

Posted: 6/13/05 at 3:10pmI saw the very first preview, and enjoyed it much better than on disc. I thought the mood that Rupert established was appropriate and eerie. The leads were fine, and I am sure, improved over time.
