Victoria Clark and Bernadette Peters. They could do the sequel to "Side Show!" Did you know that Daisy and Violet Hilton finished out their lives as checkout clerks at a grocery store? Fine material for a musical right there!
Actually, I would love to see those two in a show together. Just not that one.
If Encores ever did Dear World -- the Herman musical based on the Madwoman of Chaillot that won Angela Lansbury one of her Tonys and co-starred Jane Connell -- I could TOTALLY see Peters and Clark together in that. I don't know much about the musical version (other than it flopped), but the play is great.

Margo - Aren't Smith and Dench together right now in the movie "Ladies in Lavender"?
And I'd like to see: Brian Stokes Mitchell and Rachel York Matt Morrison and Patti LuPone LaChanze and Audra McDonald Rachel York and Audra McDonald Audra McDonald and Matt Morrison
Essentially any of the above together, cept for people who have already been in a show together (ie LaChanze and Rachel York)
Is that the name of the film? I saw them on Charlie Rose together discussing a movie and showing clips from it, but I totally spaced the actual name of the film.
Zoran -- I would certainly pay to see those three do the First Wives Club .... or anything else for that matter.

edit: Margo - If the right vehicle could be found for those three, I would march o'er hill and dale to get to the theatre! Updated On: 7/11/05 at 01:47 AM
That's a fascinating cast list for NINE. Let's have a concert.

I, aegeusrocks, being of sound mind and body, do formally propose to the producers of the AIDS Benefit Concert to change this year's production to a concert of Nine, starring the following: Brian Stokes Mitchell and Matthew Morrison switching off singing the songs of Guido. LaChanze singing the role of Carla. Audra McDonald singing the role of Claudia. Rachel York singing the role of Luisa. Patti LuPone singing the role of Lilliane. This would replace the currently planned The Secret Garden.
OOH Taboo- love the middle suggestion. The other two are great but Megan and Nathan would be hilarious! Just as long as they don't do a dramatic musical hehe.

Hmm well if Actor's Fund did Hair, then they won't do another till next year. BC/EFA is a possibility, I believe....I shall look into it! But now 'tis time for bed. PS- Love the Kiss Me, Kate casting, Zoran.
Stokes and Audra in Porgy & Bess at the Hollywood Bowl with Wayne Brady. God, I want to see that!
As far as those who said Stokes for DRS, didn't he do the original workshop with Butz, but had conflicts about the Broadway production (don't remember what they were, though)? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. And yes, that WOULD be awesome.
But as for so far fictitious ones, how about Hugh Jackman and Kristin Chenoweth (maybe in my dream production of Drood, with George Hearn as the Chairman)?

There are board members in LA who already have their tickets to the Porgy and Bess concert. And I HATE them for it, since I can't go.
