Can a leading lady be small in anything but Wicked?
I would love to see Amy McAlexander, Jen Cody and Kristen Chenoweth in a musical about mud wrestling or something.

Anjali Bhimani played the lead in Bombay Dreams and she is 4'11', she replaced Ayesha Dharker, who is under 5 feet as well, if im not mistaken.

Not only Rose, but pretty much anything Bernadette Peters has played. I felt like a giant standing next to her.
eta: Is Pablo Schreiber really tall, or is everyone else in Awake and Sing! really short?

Emma Goldman was short so you've got a big role in Ragtime made there (and a small one in Assassins).
But what is there for girls of a certain height AND weight? (besides Tracy Turnblad). See my avatar to understand that question (roles eyes)
