Footlights, I agree. BYE BYE BIRDIE with Troy Donahue was the worst show I have ever seen. I actually thought I was going to be sick. On Broadway, I'd have to say STARMITES.

I saw the National Tour of "Dreamgirls" about a year ago, and thought that it was just terrible! I just sat there thinking "Did I actually pay to see this?!?"

The absolute worst show I have ever seen that was pain numbingly HORRIBLE was "Dance of the Vampires" I have never wanted to rip my face off more in my life.
I also hated: The Red Shoes.

"DREAMGIRLS" the worst show you've ever seen? Really? No, really?My vote would be a tie between the sequel to WHOREHOUSE whatever the hell it was called, and FOOTLOOSE.

Corine, you are the only one i've seen mention IMAGINARY FRIENDS on this board (i've been waiting) and you hated it (darn!). i loved it.

Some good points about MEDEA. Shaw was incredible thoughout, one messenger was good, and Jason was good. The rest of the chorus was sometimes embarassingly bad. Those two little boys were amazing in their naturalism and then their ability to remain lifeless at the end. i couldn't get how the design, as interesting as it looked, worked with the concept of the play itself. And until the washing sequence, that pool was driving me nuts.

TxTwoStep I have mentioned Imaginary Friends on this board, and I loved it too. I thought Swoozie Kurtz would surely be nominated for a Tony. I didn't like the musical part of the show but I adored the rest.

I know I'm in the minority, but I never could stand any version of "Guys and Dolls." Hate the plot, the characters, the music. I guess I just don't get it. Just thinking about "Adelaide's Lament" makes me ill...
