Male Pop Audition Songs Jan 9
2008, 10:47:10 PM
I searched and I saw that there is a thread on female pop auditions songs but I am a male and I have an audition coming up that requires a pop/pop inspired tune. So if anyone has any ideas for a male pop song that would be great. Also, if it helps its for a performance of "Bare" in concert and I'm a tenor if that helps to narrow it down for you. Any help at this point would be great cause I have no idea where to go with this one.

re: Choosing a Musical For Middle School Aged Performers Jul 19

As for everyones suggestion of into the woods, I would go against it for middle schoolers. The original is really not that accessible for students with tricky rhythms, melodies, and harmonies I would not recomend it for middle school. The Junior version maybe but certainly not the full original show. Also, How to Succeed.. is probably not the best choice. Its far to long and drags most of the time. Not to mention the music is very difficult, lots of jazz rhythms and if your orchestra c

Like mentioned before if you are cutting "the rumour" its a violation of the contract unless you've had it approved. I actually like "topsy turvey" because you really see how yente is stuck in the past compared to the "the rumour" which for me reminds of "pick a little talk a little" from music man, a song to stereotype the ensemble into being a rumour mill. I also think the orchestration to this song is great. Given neither one of these songs are really strong but if I had a choice I'ld much ra

Fiddler Question Feb 24
2007, 10:04:38 PM
I was wondering in the most recent revival they scrapped "The Rumour" number and replaced it with "Topsy Turvy" do you know if its available to be used when putitng on the show elsewhere? Or are you forced to use "The Rumour". Any ideas as to how I could get permission or get "Topsy Turvey" for my production? Any leads would be great. Thanks!

I know that there is no published score for sal of grand night for singing, tarzan, and the life. I also believe the score to she loves me is out of print. The "maria" song from grand night is a different arrangement than that of the one form sound of music. It's written for a guy and is slightly different thats why I was looking for it. Thanks for your help though, I will check with the rights handling companies
