Liz has some good recognition from TV but she is largely famous for being Ariana Grande's best friend, imo. She's very talented in her own right, but the friendship has not hurt.

Absolutely. Ariana was recently asked about possibly playing Meg in the live action remake of Hercules and she replied “it should be Liz Gillies”.

When understudies SHOULD have gone on

I saw the amateur premiere of Wicked in Melbourne. It was a two week run and there was no Glinda or Elphaba alternate. The actors were expected to perform every single show plus hold down a full time jobs.

I saw the show on its third or fourth performance and Glinda’s voice was gone. It sounded like gravel and it must have been painful to speak. I was absolutely bewildered that they didn’t at least have a matinee Elphaba and Glin

David Tennant would have been perfect for this 10/15 years ago.

Ohhhh, lovely! This will be a great addition to my DVD collection alongside Amy Sherman-Pallidino’s Gypsy, Ryan Murphy’s A Chorus Line, Glenn’s Sunset Boulevard, Josh Gad’s Hunchbak of Notre Dame. Thomas Kali’s Fiddler on the Roof, Nick Jonas’ Jersey Boys, Disney’s Once On This Island, the Guys and Dolls remake, and the Beautiful film adaption,

This particular fan group makes a habit of posting fake posters and claiming remakes and reboots of properties are being green lit.

I think they may be prepping Elphaba (Lauren Samuels?) to take over in the UK after Alexia leaves, but not sure how accurate that is

Lauren is based in the US now so I doubt that’s true.

I would think 4DX would be great fun, but perhapstoo distracting for a first viewing?"

I saw it in 4DX 3D and honestly it wasn’t worth it. The seat

I heard people in my cinema literally gasp and squeal with glee when they appeared. All around the audience you could see everyone lean into whoever they were with to share their excitement. Yes, it was overly camp, and a tad shameless but it was amazing to give them such a moment and the audience obviously ate up every single secon

Out-Of-Left-Field Dream Casting?
 Nov 21 2024, 12:45:38 PM

Not quite as out of left field as I imagine but I'd love to see Lorna Luft as Madame Morrible.

She's played the Wicked Witch of the West before so she's obviously not against using the Oz connection.

He's also co-directing an animated adaption of Dr Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go.

I really hope Chu considers directing a stage musical, he's obviously got a really great eye that lends itself to musical theatre.

Did the original MGM Wizard of Oz also get mixed reviews, or just not a huge audience in its first release?
"

I’m sure it wasn’t a huge success and it wasn’t until reruns on TV that it became the icon that it is.

Jesus. You have to wonder what kind of human would take this much of a turn after a few flop movies.

Like, so what your movies bombed? Go back to the drawing board. Be in a few solid TV dramas, show off your skills in other genres. Revisit theatre and find a really decent play or musical to help with your relaunch. Produce some things! Katherine Hepburn used her connections and The Philadelphia Story was written for her, she owned the film rights a

Oh, I love Letters From An Unknown Woman! I think the male lead in that film, Louis Jourdan
