50th Anniversary Revival of A CHORUS LINE still on track for 202

They must have fixed the tech issues (or people gave up) because everything is moving quickly now.  Balcony went from pretty much all available to sold out in the last 15 minutes and only a handful mezz seats left.

Finally!  Was able to get a seat on my 7th or 8th 'add to cart' and second new account.  Glad to finally be done with this.

There seemed to be plenty of balcony seats available - a lot of the same seats popping back up so most people must be having the same issues with adding a ticket to their cart and then getting an error message.

Anyone else constantly singing "orchestra or balcony" to themselves the whole time?

Third time adding a ticket to my cart and it's spinning and then said to try again because it resets after a period of inactivity.  That was rude.  That was pretty f*cking rude.

edit: I'm getting so annoyed now.  I got in again (5th time), added the ticket to cart.  But when I logged in it said I had too many attempts - you think! - so I created a new account.  Got to the next page, and then it crashed again.  I've got it open on 4 dev

I got back into the seat selection page but it took forever to change the section, and then when I was finally able to select a seat I got a sever error again.  So not holding out much hope.  There are definitely fewer seats available then when I got in the first time, so some people do seem to be able to get through (or those are the ones getting through on the phones).

I had a ticket in my cart for front row center balcony, but when I went to log in it crashed for me as well.  I called and left a message, but I'm sure the seat I selected will be gone by the time the website is back up or I get a call back.  Just hope I'm able to get something.

Why are audiences so poorly behaved these days?
 Jun 20 2025, 04:42:06 PM

I do think it’s gotten worse since covid, but I don’t think it’s because of covid.  I think we’ve been on this downward trajectory for decades.  The way people acted in the teens was so much worse than the aughts, which was so much worse than the 90s.  That’s when I started seeing shows but I’m sure people who saw shows before that would agree.

When I saw Rent in the final year (2008), the people behind me talked throughout the entire

Because it says "within sixty (60) days of the scheduled date and time of the event ". Don't think they need to clarify anything.
"

Actually, they do need to clarify whether 60 days refers to the period prior to the eve

Broadway Flops you love that everybody else hates

To Be or Not to Be. I think I liked everything Jan Maxwell did (she and Marc Kudish made Chitty Chitty Bang Bang worth seeing on repeat). My mom and I went to see it twice because we laughed so much the first go round.

I also loved the original Seussical and The Drowsy Chaperone.

Whatever Happened to Singin In the Rain Musical?

I saw the West End production in 2013 and the only thing I remember about it was being glad that we got super cheap tickets. And that I felt bad I picked that as my birthday present for me and my best friend to go see.

But on the upside we also saw The Audience on that trip, which was 110% worth it.

It was wonderful. The cast sounded just as amazing as they did 15 year ago and I was impressed with how much of the staging they recreated (Kelli’s still cartwheeling!). I was definitely expecting more standing and reading lines/singing, so it was a lovely surprise to have the choreo and the costume changes.

I did think it was funny that when I turned my phone back on after the show I had an email from Telecharge asking for a review and whether or not I would recommend the show to someo

Disney's Snow White 2025

I thought the trailer looked terrible, even for Disney live action standards (of which I do not have a high opinion). Rachel’s acting seemed strange (read: bad), the dwarves looked weird, and Gal is way prettier than Rachel making the whole “fairer” plot seem illogical (although her acting is worse, which is almost impressive). The only thing that looked appealing to me were the animated bunnies.

When I went last night, signed retro playbills were $100 each and signed posters $200 each.

they also had 1 framed item of the theater and I think it was $300.

The posters are still at $200 and tonight they were selling 2 signed copies of the Shakespeare books used during the show. I picked up o

I haven't seen it yet, but I wonder if the seating section makes a difference? I would assume the upper levels may naturally be warmer than the orchestra section?

I was in the balcony this afternoon and was freezing the whole time.

DEATH BECOMES HER Previews

The wedding sponsor for opening night was “Wicked the Musical. I have been changed for good.”
Got huge applause.

At the end as they’re walking away and asking what they should do tomorrow the answer was “watch Rachel Maddow?”

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Even more than when I saw it in Chicago. As others have said, Act 2 is definitely weaker, but I think the changes they made helped as much as possible given the plot. I do think the Texas switch is used a few too many times

I absolutely love this movie and always thought it would be a great stage show for the holidays a la Elf (and I don’t even like Christmas or Christmas movies in general). I listen to it year round. Might actually make a trek up to Goodspeed to see it.
