This long-awaited revival is one for the history books. It was misguided on (almost) every conceivable level beginning with the casting of the show's leading lady. 

What were they thinking? Whose bright idea was it to cast someone whose singing voice is completely wrong for the role in the hopes that their voice would improve over the course of the show's run?

It is incomprehensible to me that people lack the grace to continue to hate anyone and in by doing so continue to punish them for the "sins of the past". 

Many do bad things in life that but that doesn't necessarily make them a bad person.

I understand Patti’s outrage, I sincerely do…but her response to the “mask offender” was too aggressive in the sense that she had all the power in this particular situation by “losing it” in the way that she did.
