Sometimes I wonder if there shouldn't be a migration to a new board on a different platform—better functionality and less disruption from certain people I'm sure we can all think of.

THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES with Kristin Chenowith & F. Murray Abraham to open at St. James in November Mar 10

KevinKlawitter said: "Additional casting tba"
I wish this show well, but unless they’ve made changes since Boston, there’s no way this makes it through spring in that theater.
Kristin is excellent though, as are the set and costumes, but a lot of the book needs an overhaul. Specifically, it needs a clear pov on Jackie Sehgal, tweaks to the nurse/nanny, and to actually have an arc for some of the other supporting characters.

Operation Mincemeat vs Maybe Happy Ending - Race for Best Musical Feb 16
2025, 09:40:45 AM
I think Maybe Happy Ending has a good shot if it continues its upward trajectory; it has appeal for a lot of different cross-sections of audience members, including the "artsy" lovers (which has helped shows in the past with the voters), at least compared to Mincemeat which probably won't garner that appreciation. I agree with you on score/book. If you were comparing direction, I'd probably go Mincemeat (assuming it hasn't taken a hit from London) and also easily give it

I thought he was the weakest link in the cast, personally, and I had trouble hearing him even though I was sitting in the sixth row of the orchestra.
I noticed the show is going to be playing at the Kennedy Center in March, and they're billing it as a "direct-from

Review: Tammy Faye Was Over-the-Top. This Musical Makes Her Small.
“Tammy Faye,” a bland, tonal mishmash of a show opening on Broadway, seems afraid to lean into what made the televangelist so distinctive.
