So, I was on the website for the Tilles Center which is not far from me on Long Island. The current tour is playing there and the website said that there’s no intermission. Is something like that common? I know the act one closer is Pinball Wizard and that was where the intermission was when the revival was at The Nederlander. Generally speaking, is this a common alteration or is this a unique situation?
Did a search and a reditt and NY Theater Guide post came up saying the tour modified run time is an hour and 40 minutes with no intermission. It says that on Broadway it ran for 2 hours and 10 minutes with a fifteen intermission included. If this is correct then it seems 20 minutes has been shaved off. (I think I calculated that correctly!)
I just looked at the length of the OBC recording. The whole show is on the album and the length of that is one hour and 35 minutes. If I had to venture a guess, I’d assume then that it is in fact the entire show. They just decided to ditch the intermission
