re: What Were The Problems With Shrek: The Musical?  May 26 2009, 11:08:18 PM
I really liked ACT ONE, and ACT TWO dragged a lot.

re: Are Any Pop Musicals Safe? (Fangirls)  May 25 2009, 04:11:23 PM
ha, the difference between a matinee straight play and a blockbuster musical on friday night is two different worlds.
re: When will Guys and Dolls close?  May 25 2009, 04:09:42 PM
I'm still a bit upset we have had so many revivals of Guys and Dolls and some great shows have never gotten a revival.

DREAMGIRLS OBCR
I Am Changing - When belts I AMMMMM CHANGING and its where the scene transforms into the nightclub at night.

re: DREAMGIRLS confusion  May 24 2009, 06:43:16 PM
IMO LISTEN does not belong in the Stage Version. So they still have intentions of bringing it to Broadway?
re: Looking ahead - 09-10 musicals  May 24 2009, 06:41:31 PM
Thats a shame, I love Merrily and wish I could see a production of it.

We have been very luck with this past decade of Sondheim revivals.
re: DREAMGIRLS confusion  May 24 2009, 06:26:07 PM
What is the advantage of touring rather than bringing it to Broadway?

Gee thanks for that info!
DREAMGIRLS confusion  May 23 2009, 06:47:35 AM
Could someone just bring me up to day with the current production of Dreamgirls that is supposedly going out on tour. Is Broadway the goal of this tour? A cast hasn't been announced correct? What about a director.
re: If a show has no curtain... does that mean there will be only one set (  May 21 2009, 11:53:42 PM
The location does not change.

Not necessarily, God of Carnage DOES have a curtain and there is no set change. Blithe Spirit has a curtain again no set change. Didn't the original production of Sweeney Todd not have a curtain? Sunday in the Park with George (revival) had no curtain, and it had changes.

9 to 5- My thoughts  May 20 2009, 12:32:12 AM
Sorry that I did not post these when I saw the show, I'm just getting around to it now.

I must say I was HIGHLY disappointed with this show. I felt like I could have saved a bunch of money and watched the movie, because there is almost no difference. The fact that anyone thinks those three girls deserved nominations is just a joke. The book is absolutely terrible jumping around, and having scene changes every twelve seconds just became annoying and to make it even worse they decided t

re: 9 TO 5 on the Today Show (Video)  May 20 2009, 12:21:12 AM
Personally I found the show to be a huge disappointment. I Didn't find anything in the show original, just exact replications of the movies characters. The worst is Megan Hilty, she is copying Dolly to a T. She should go to vegas and do impersonations.
re: Does Gandolfini still use the alley to exit the Jacobs?  May 19 2009, 11:11:33 PM
