What do we think the chances that tomorrow’s matinee will happen considering tonight’s show was cancelled so close curtain ?

Count me in with those who got the ‘no beanie’ performances email today

while I appreciate the heads up, I’m still choosing a refund… canceling performances this early in the run and I’m going to choose to cancel too

Slave Play Returning To August Wilson Theatre  Sep 26 2021, 08:21:30 PM

If you search ‘slave play’ on seat geek on iOS (eg ipad, etc), it shows performances from November 23- January 23 at the Wilson

B'way closed thru 1/3 now  Jun 29 2020, 05:22:44 PM

Interesting to note, that if you go on ticketmaster and look at Wicked, it actually has cancelled shows through February 28, 2021 (tickets avail March 1 and beyond)

Anne Hathaway in "Carnival" at Encores!  Jun 27 2020, 07:00:24 AM

Agreed about it being disappointing. On paper it looked like it couldn't miss (and it was an incredibly hot ticket), but there was very little energy on-stage the night I saw it.

MUSIC MAN Seems To Have Been Rescheduled For April 2021  Jun 23 2020, 08:05:02 PM

My December 12th tickets have been moved to july 10, 2021

Rachel Chavkin - DIRECTOR X  Jun 13 2020, 04:35:20 AM
Well, vote with your pocketbook as they say- when theatre starts up again, and if Montana is costume designer on a show, I won’t buy a ticket to that production. Simple as that.
Rachel Chavkin - DIRECTOR X  Jun 12 2020, 06:52:02 PM

He called her the c word in an email. He can’t use this truly wonderful beautiful POWERFUL movement to erase that.

Sorry, but he is the villain in this story.

Broadway to close  Apr 22 2020, 07:07:49 AM

Remdesivir is showing effectiveness in trials, but it is only for TREATMENT once you have contracted the virus. So thus, the virus still remains around and highly contagious (leading to outbreaks and overwhelming the health system). This will not help with the fear of getting large amounts of people into a theatre. We need a vaccine to get to that point. It's that simple.

Broadway to Close?  Apr 3 2020, 07:23:03 AM

Theaters won't be back to normal until social distancing rules are relaxed, which will probably be in the very late fall. It seems that the movie studios are comfortable with November / December releases, and I think we should all should expect the same for broadway, not any earlier than that.

Which shows will Covid-19 end?  Mar 31 2020, 07:11:53 AM

I'm expecting that Music Man will probably be delayed a year at this point...

Hugh Jackman in The Music Man  Sep 13 2019, 11:56:21 AM

There was a 'placeholder' page on telecharge for the last few months, but that is suddenly gone

Hugh Jackman in The Music Man  Sep 13 2019, 07:16:04 AM

Aren't copies of the weekend Arts & Leisure delivered to media people Thursday? (they did that as of a few years ago when I worked as an assistant at a talent agency)... So surprised that word of what theatre hasn't leaked yet.

Moulin Rouge Previews  Aug 3 2019, 07:20:30 AM

Just out of curiousity looked at Saturday in January to see how tickets were selling- kind of surprised to see that most of the house is still available- maybe it's not as big of a hit as people want you to believe: https://www1.ticketmaster.com/moulin-rouge-the-musical-ny/event/3000556FC9C818B1

What shows will fill the dark theaters this fall?  May 31 2019, 07:14:39 AM

Any word on what theatre West Side Story is getting? Doesn't it start previews in December?

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/26/19  May 29 2019, 06:54:02 AM

For all this talk of Be More Chill having the chance to do great this summer, I looked at some random Saturday matinees and evenings in July, and all look like they have a HUGE amount of inventory available.

Down to One  May 15 2019, 06:00:59 AM

Just saw a commercial for this 'starting August 1' on local NBC at around 545am... they said for tickets go to batoutofhellmusical.com, but when I go to that site, it has no ticket information... Amazing to have commercials running and no ability to buy tickets.
