re: Krysta Rodriguez on Gossip Girl Tonight!

I totally didn't know she was going to be on the show. Quite the pleasant surprise, I was freaking out. And Matt later? Shit, and with Jesse in the first season they sure love the cast of Spring Awakening.

Other people seem to be assuming Next To Normal will transfer, I sure hope it does.

"Where is Dark I Know well & "All thats known"
Where they not added till Bway?"

They were added in later workshops. Spring Awakening did a bunch of workshops from 1999 until their off-Broadway run in 2006. There were a few changes from off-Broadway to Broadway, but not many.

"Caroline, I was in a possibly illegal version of the play, and we had the Masked Man sitting on the stage, watching us for the whole play, finally speaking in the last scene. I don't know if that was common"

At the 2001 workshop the Masked Man was the narrator. So he was there the whole time. I thought the recording was awful. The songs that Lea sings are cute because you can compare. But Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind is actually PAINFUL to listen to.

But there are a few scene/

This is going to be great. I adore Skylar and Phoebe. Skylar is hilarious in the trailer and reviews of the movie back at Sundance all mentioned his performance. And it's coming out on my birthday!
re: Who was the nicest Broadway actor or actress you met?

The cast of Spring Awakening are almost all super nice. Especially Jonathan Groff, John Gallagher Jr., Skylar Astin, and Krysta Rodriguez.
re: Is Spring Awakening appropriate for a 13 year old?

If she's seen Rent, take her. She can obviously deal with more mature themes, though Spring Awakening is a bit more (with nudity, and all). But if she likes Rent she'll probably like Spring Awakening too.

Umm, jaystarr, how on earth is Atheism put on a list with suicide and sexual molestation? If you're going to put Atheism on there, put Christianity too.

Oh lord, I forgot about the subtle references to Athiesm! Get this show off of Broadway immediately! Abominable!

Bring the 13 year old unless he or she is very immature for their age. They will get it. They will like it. I saw Spring Awakening when I was 15. I could have easily enjoyed it two years earlier.

He dropped out his senior year.

re: Would you pay full price for [tos] on Broadway?

Yes. And it will be the first time that I've paid full price for a show. Tickets are expensive. But [tos] is worth is.

Good for Jesse! That's so great. I saw him as Melchior back in November, he was wonderful.
