I would for the orchestra. On stage seating is more about being close to actors than actually watching the show.

Raul Esparza. Jonathan Groff. Roger Bart.

I agree with some points you made about Spring Awakening. I definitely didn't like the medley choice that they decided to go with and it definitely didn't show the talent the cast really has. Plus, the changing of the lyrics is just really annoying..and having Jonathan Groff take up half of the Bitch of Living solo.

John Gallagher didn't finish high school.

re: Sweeney Todd - DVD or Film

I absolutely love the film. I think people have to remember that it isn't suppose or trying to be like the stage production. Sodheim said it best. "The movie isn't the stage show on screen, it a film based on the stage show."
re: Stage door - what am I in for?

I stagedoored YF when it was playing in Seattle, so I don't know the differences between here and in NYC. But Roger Bart is probably one of the single most nicest people I've ever met (celebrity wise). He was so gracious of the fans, castmates, and everything. He stayed and chatted with me and friends for a good ten minutes about rehearsals, other shows he's been in, and bunch of good stories.

the homecoming stage door
 Mar 12 2008, 08:23:48 PM
Hello,
I just had a quick question about The Homecoming stage door. I'm planning on going to New York in about week and I am seeing three shows and am really wanting to work in Passing Strange into my schedule on Sunday but I was also wanting to stage door The Homecoming for Raul Esparza. So my question is does he even stage door and if he does, around what time does he usually come out? Passing Strange is about 20 min longer than The Homecoming so I was curious. Thanks!
