Neil Patrick Harris bombing on the EMMYS
 Sep 23 2013, 01:55:34 PM
NPH was credited as one of the producers.
I only saw the last 40 minutes, but caught Steve Levitan's (Modern Family)diss of the program.

Clay Aiken as Joseph

Saw Joseph many years ago with Donny Osmond as Joseph and we all really enjoyed it. Can't imagine those lovely ballads sang in a high register. How does his voice contrast with the children's voices?
Nathan Lane & BeBe Neuwirth Exit Dates?
 Aug 3 2010, 02:38:03 AM
I just bought tickets for 8/29. I was hoping to see Nathan, but it sounds like he'll be on vacation. I should read Boadway World before I do anything.
Promises or Night Music?
 May 7 2010, 01:03:24 AM
I recently saw both, found both to have slow first acts, but vote for Promises Promises. Sean and Kristen have both been better in other roles, but they are still a delight. I had much better seats for ALNM but still felt detached. Sadly I started counting how many times Ms Jones snorted. I just knew she wasn't perfect.....
Sardi's caricatures are soulless

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is really surprised at how bad they are. The coloring especially lacks class, or timeless appeal like a welldrawn b/w would have.

LOVE Boeing Boeing but it's closing, so Wicked or Jersey Boys.

VERY sweet!

I wish I would have seen Equus this past week instead of Phantom.

Whoops! Sorry Cartwheel. I thought you knew.
Get ready honey, you're in for a shock.

So Cartwheel, you're cool with Clay's gayness!? That's very unClaymate of you, but I'm glad.

Congratulations to Clay and ALL of the babyfamilies.

Bailey as Elle: One Week Later...
 Aug 1 2008, 11:24:31 PM
I saw LB 7/25 on a trip to NYC to see a few shows. I really didn't even know about the MTV competition until my daughter clued me in right before the show. I thought Bailey was totally entertaining - you go girl!! Keep learning, and I hope you have a long and happy career. We've seen the movie a few times and know the story well so I think it takes a person with sparkle like Bailey to keep the show fresh and fun.

This show is SO much fun and you're right...they do SCREAM their lines, but artfully!

An interesting question ~
It was Mary Poppins for me, but I'm such a jabber mouth I usually meet someone everywhere I go. They humor me.

I remember when Jim Henson died of pneumonia. I was totally shocked.
re: Guy arrested at Xanadu stage door today!!

This is a very interesting discussion. I wonder if the theater district in NYC is more susceptible to this?? It's just easier to hang out around those theaters.

Oh wow! Thanks for posting this!

Thank you so much for the reply. That is what I expected. I'm always fascinated by the stage set-up of a show.

I'm so glad I got tickets! Silly question I know, but how often does the set change?
