ok. I give. She was good on The Muppet Show, too.

Her only worthy performances were in Arrested Development.

Poor aged freak.

Whatever, my "disgusting" comments about that coked up has-been have been deleted. So there.

re: Did Jule Styne Steal the Opening Bars of the Gypsy Overture from Irving

It's not the notes that are important here, it's the function of the harmony.

check out both the Styne and Berlin scores and see if everything is identical, not just the melody. Use figured bass and roman numerals.

I didnt mind the film version of Rent, and I saw the show the first week it opened.

I didn't HATE the Phantom movie, but it just didn't go anywhere, and whoever played the Phantom was really awful.

I keep watching the Priest clip, It's so excellent.
re: YF : A History Making Week

YF isn't a great show, it's not even a very very good show. It's a very tired formula and I was feeling almost offended, especially my intelligence.

I adore the movie, but this show was made for the lowest common denom.

So does that mean it's true or not?

I too remember the VERY high profile painting of the theater to announce it, and then it never happened.

re: So When Do Tickets to Encores! APPLAUSE Go On Sale?

I like this show but the score is very very dated. What do think makes that very dated sound, is it the orchestrations or the composition itself?

I really would love to hear Michael Ball on this album, he's so big over there, they can't NOT record it.

Oh pLEASE Mr. Shaiman!

re: Price to direct CAMELOT for NY Philharmonic

I'd be interested to know what those changes are. Anyone know?

Also, does anyone else think this show really needs to be fully staged to be enjoyed? I do.

Wow, I love how understated A Little Priest is, this is going to be great
