I think the bigger issue is that Elpheba said it instead of Elphaba...
re: Saw Mamma Mia movie tonight

I saw it last week (in Australia) and was also disappointed. There were a lot of awkwardly cheesey moments, and I was also disappointed that no one blew me away with their talent. Meryl's singing was alright, not powerful. When Pierce sang, people started laughing because it sounds pretty bad, and I cringed multiple times. Sophie's performance was weak as well. The only things I loved were Julie's Rosie and the fact that they showcased how gorgeous Greece was.

Gator, you'll love Curtis as Sonny. Completely different take on the role than Cheyenne (although I prefer Chey).
re: Did anyone see any Broadway shows before it made it to Broadway

Wicked and Chorus Line revival in SF, pre-Broadway.

Didn't they consider Christian Borle, or didn't he do it in a reading? I'd love to see Matt Morrison though.
re: Which was the first Broadway show you saw?

What is this video and where can I find it?
who have you gotten stuff back from?

Generally, do you address the envelope to one of the stars, or the stage manager or something?

Anyone got anything from South Pacific or Cheyenne?

re: Different Patti View

So when's the most appropriate time to open another revival of a musical? 5 years? 10? If someone else has a concept for it that's different from the last revival, they should be able to mount it.

Also, I know lots of people who saw Gypsy for the first time this time around only because of Patti, and now they love the show, so I'm glad they brought this back with her.

Who cares. It's here and it's well received, and it's going to stay longer than Bernadette's. The standing ovation after the Tony performance said it all, it's brilliant with these 3 actors.

And LOL, paljoey cracks me up.
