Glory Days...yeah (hangs head in shame). If it wasn't such a crappy show, i'd be convinced that the King of Flop Musical Lovin' (me) jinxed the show.

Hot Feet and Glory Days. Nice combo, right? I also saw August: Osage County in Chicago. In addition, I saw the Visit at Signature (hopefully it gets to broadway...). I also saw Sunday in the Park with George and Mary Poppins in London, prior to them coming to Broadway.

I saw the world premiere of "Camelot" in Toronto as a very young boy and every iteration of "Drowsy Chaperone" up to and including London.

I've seen a number of shows in LA before they transferred -- Ragtime (but without Audra), Drowsy Chaperone, Curtains, Mail (Pasadena Playhouse), Big River (the revival), Come Back Little Sheba (the current revival), Beauty and the Beast, Biloxi Blues, Angels in America, The Kentucky Cycle, and Radio Golf.

Next year, the Ahmanson will be premiering 9 to 5 and Minsky's, both of which I expect to go to Broadway after their LA runs.

re: Did anyone see any Broadway shows before it made it to Broadway

I need to add Spring Awakening. Saw the final preview performance before opening night at The Atlantic. I got to talk to Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik about the show and I got to tell Duncan Sheik how "Home At the End of the World" was still in heavy rotation in my CD player. He was pleasantly surprised and we chated briefly about it. Mr Sater gave me this hughe hug at intermission when I told him I was loving the show. And we discussed where the show was going next. At that point he knew it was going somewhere (Moving to another theater after the Atlantic run possibly). I don't think they had any clue what was to come at that point! What a fun and memorable evening! Thought I would share. Have shared this in other posts.
