If you have $20 million lying around, they will let you remount any show you want.

I know I've brought this up before, but... if the authors "waive their fees," are they literally not getting paid for their work being performed? That seems so bizarre to me. It should be just as unth

From the numbers tonight the one I enjoyed the most was shockingly Two Strangers. Easy to understand and great voices. Next was Schmigadoon. Also easy to understand and vivacious choreography. Titanic seems fun but the singing was lacking. The Lost Boys to be honest looked better in the little clip before the performance. I’m still scratching my head with the performan

The 79th Annual Tony Awards Telecast! Jun 7 2026, 10:17:37 PM
I posted this in another thread, but I was in line waiting to get into a show last night. I overheard a conversation where a veteran Broadway marketer was asked if he saw Cats: The Jellicle Ball. His response was, no, I hate Cats. I think the loss has to do more with people just don't like Cats. I know this production reinvented the material, I thought it was pretty special when I hated the last revival of Cats, but it may have too much of a negative history.

Very sad, I really adored it but probably announcing closing tomorrow."
She never sounded like that when I saw her a month ago or in the basement of the grocery store in the original run.

Was there an opening number or anything I missed?!"
You missed the opening monologue. Best Book was the first award.

The problem Cats has is it's a show already a lot of people hate. Those that do love it possibly won't be into this new concept which isn't close to the show they love. And the new concept is quite niche and likely won't attractpeople back who have hated the show in the past."

A lovely space. I’m jealous.
I'm not judging, but I don't understand why he (or anybody else) would share his personal sanctuary like this. His bedroom is a “refuge from the demands of public life", so he shares it with the world in photos?
It just seems like such an invasion of personal space. I could never.
Is there some practical reason for this? He gets a deal on the name-checked produ

Tony Awards Final Predictions: Who Will Win and Should Win on Broadway’s Biggest Night Jun 4 2026, 08:53:01 PM
Clayton didn't do well predicting the Oscars this year, one of the few writers who thought Sinners would win Best Picture, I wouldn't pay too much attention to his picks (I know there os a co-writer as well).

EVERY BRILLIANT THING Reviews May 29 2026, 10:48:30 PM
I saw Mariska tonight. I was not familiar with the show at all. I thought she put on a great performance. I agree with the opinion that there is little payoff at the end. We had good audience participants tonight, but I could see the show drag if you had bad ones.

Be really kind, friendly, tell them you're flexible on price, ask their opinions on best places to sit, etc. You can pretty easily read who is going to lean into warmth and who ain't.
If I use TKTS I typically do it when there is no line and I can buy for

Sometimes though, if you go too late, the show that you wanted to see is sold out, even if it is still on their board...I have had good results going like an hour or half an hour before curtain getting a good seat, but I understand that might be cutting it too close for some people.

The performances are all around solid, with Anika and Richard being the standouts among the cast (Marylouise was out), and the material is funny and interesting. But it's mostly retreading talking points I'm well familiar with, and in my opinion it "all-sides"-es its issues a little too much. I wonder if MTC was the right place to put this on -- the audience the night I went was laughing and c

It doesn't happen often in my attending Broadway shows. I think a baby is generally not allowed to attend.
