Yes, totally feel as if all shows on Broadway and on tour and starting later and later past the advertised start time. I always assumed it is on the audiences lazy attitude about getting to seats on time.... folks used to be seated and ready and nowadays it seemed like everyone likes to stand and drink and chat until the last moment.

Feels like a show that NEEDS a dynamo to play the one and only role. Feels like dynamo-types aren't keen on touring North America. Taxing show with a taxing travel schedule. Will be HIGHLY curious who they can pull to do this show.

The facebook fan page was getting jammed with folks asking multiple times per day who was the Phantom for this pulse and that pulse, or asking when Clay was next up. So, the mods banned posting those questions and answers. I know there is a Reddit thread that stays up-to-date on who is preforming in what pulse, but I don't have Reddit so I can't link you. You'll have to find on your own if you're on Reddit.

I predict that Evita will re-coup. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Lots of blaming of Trump, gas prices, and Canadians in this thread. While that might be a small sliver of some issues. I really think it is because there is a bunch of BAD shows with BAD casts. Everyone is plugged into reviews online nowadays. When you have a cast and a show the fans want, it is still selling. Harry Potter, Hadestown, Lion King, Hamilton, Oh Mary, Ragtme, Chicago, Rocky Horror, Every Brilliant Thing, ... good shows and selling well. Death Becomes Her, Titanique, Stranger Thin...

I don't think some of you understand what the OP is saying. They are not stating you can't buy a single seat if you are solo. Of course that is allowed. What they are saying is it won't allow you to LEAVE a one seat gap between you and the next patron. So if Seat 1 and 2 are sold, and seats 3,4,5,6 are unsold. You can't purchase seats 4 and 5 and let set 3 by itself on an island. You MUST buy seats 3 and 4 so that 5 and 6 are together as a pair, or buy seats 5 and 6 so that 3 and 4 remain as ...

Selling terribly for it's stop in Baltimore this week. Aggressively trying to dump some tickets via Lucky Seat. If you enter, you'll certainly win. Had a co-worker put in 4 Lucky Seat chances with 2 email addresses for herself, two for her husband ... and they won all 4. Hotel rates still seem HIGH. I was thinking of popping into town (driving distance), but its high right now.

I've seen the tour and the current Broadway cast... tour is head and shoulders better than current Broadway. Not even very close IMO.

Rather strong week for the box offices. Spring is finally in the air, bringing out the locals and the tourists alike I suppose.

Unclear if it was accidental or a focused step in noise reduction from the crowd, but they moved away from noisy bags of popcorn to the quieter thin cardboard boxes. Likewise, they added soft pretzels to the offerings, which is much more quiet than the bags of chips that seems to be constantly crackling at the start of Act 2 at most shows. It still amazes me that the audience can't hold off from housing 3,000 calories over the course of a 120 min show, but it is what it is ... and the theater...

Not recording related, but I really like the current Hades on the National tour, Nikolaus Colon. Deeper voice, darker and more sinister presentation than most... with a bit of wry cockiness. Smirks, chuckles... he really GETS the role.
