North American Tour of The Lion King to close in 2027

The current tour was already reconfigured/downsized back in 2017. Wonder how much more downsized this new tour will be?

Smaller cast & orchestra I'd assume.

Speak for yourself, I miss both, especially the aerial ballet. And its even weirder as it wasnt long after the morning report had been specially animated and added to the original movie.

And like you say, its just 3 minutes, so whats the point. It's not like it had any big impact on the length of the show.

Yes, the cuts were originally made for the Las Vegas production before being implemented on Broadway the following year.

If you want to see the show in its original entirety (Morning Report, etc.) then head to Tokyo, where it is still playing in the original version.

Yes, when "The Lion King" first came to Los Angeles, it played at The Pantages for 2 years!
