Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 11/1/26

Halloween always hurts Broadway as a whole, especially when it falls during a weekend as it did this year. No surprise with the overall total, but very nice to see the spooky-adjacent PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW pick it up a bit!

An excellent first preview tally for MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. I suppose this consistently cracks the top 5 highest grossers during its run.

Happy trails to Aimie Atkinson, Rachel Dratch, Alison Luff, Jeannette Bayardelle, and Joey Fatone.

The numbers *should* be higher than this for the rest of 2026.

Is Aladdin on its way out? Might the rumors be true that The Greatest Showman will take the theater in a few years? FYI, Sherri Shepherd was out of both shows on Sunday.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

DOWNSTATE making $100K less in a week than MUCH ADO did in one preview is…tragic. I fear that it’s going to go the LITTLE BEAR RIDGE ROAD path and close far earlier than its limited engagement scheduled ending.

Naturally, ROCKY HORROR was up as I had predicted. The Halloween shows were both sold out and the 10pm was WILD.

WANTED is looking pretty grim with that dropping ATP. And yet, I haven’t even seen it on TDF or anything that could potentially move tickets. I foresee a possible QUEEN OF VERSAILLES-level collapse unless rapturous reviews give it a boost

Was hoping to see a little Halloween boost for Lost Boys, at least they didn't have a major drop like some of the other shows, yikes.

This weekend was not only Halloween, but also the NY Marathon- and we had absolutely gorgeous fall weather. There was no way it wouldn't depress box office this week.

OMDKC, the press reps for Downstate, sent out a mass comp offer last week, which I have never seen them do before. Now I see why. It was always going to struggle but I really cannot see how it is going to be able to turn it around and get to its original closing date. It seems the ticket scheme with Small Mouth Sounds did little, if anything, to help.
