I’m out.

My only question: who is the one person liking all of Seb28’s posts?

edit…

The stupidity of those videos…who the **** are these people? My sexuality doesn’t define my world views? For now, maybe, but not if they can help it! I’m so done with caring about morons who vote against their own interests. I wish I could not care.

Actions do speak louder than words. Maybe take a seat.

They want to subjugate us. Do you not understand that? He literally ran a discriminating ad about our trans community and it succeeded.

But maybe you are correct: I do want to bring her down because I don’t agree with her. I don’t agree with homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism or

Ending wars and protecting children is beautiful too.

Let's discuss the show again.

Nah, I’m good keeping this about the fact that she was a closeted Trumper and now feels comfortable expressing her opinions.  We have free speech, she’s not restoring anything: except Audra’s record Tony wins.

We can be adults here. If people are a little bit more agitated, I think that’s justified. We don’t need a hall monitor, have you seen the **** that’s been posted here before?!??

MCC's 'SH!T. MEET. FAN.' Cast Announced

I didn’t enjoy it while seeing it and left no impression on me afterward.  The ending added nothing and seemed shoehorned in an effort to give it meaning: didn't work

The play is just broadly written play that it leaves nothing to mine. The characters are essentially archetypes or stereotypes lacking definition and the jokes often fall flat. There is tremendous talent on stage, but they have little to work with.

In the realm of alcohol infu

Would have assumed the same thing but it’s rare for Encore! shows at City Center to have one show that’s sold out but all others have decent availability.

Strangely, Nov 6 is the only date unavailable. Any intel as to why or if tickets will open up for that performance?

Autumn 2024 London

Giant is one of the best thought plays I’ve seen in a very long time. Even more than Oedipus, this was made to come to New York next season, and just maybe sooner with Lithgow securing a Tony.

I really can’t recall last seeing a meaningful play about ideas, positions, and counterpoints.  Namely, one (very notable) man’s response to what he views as genocidal killing and how that view is considered by others (to wit, the world) as antisemitic. This is a gross

Dylan: It’s really not a political play so much as it is a line-reading of a political movie (that I admire) with hamstrung current political references.  The complete absence of laughter in the house was staggering…this is a comedy after all.

Maybe it will improve, but I’m skeptical. I’d suggest to wait until it’s locked and reviews are out before you make your decision. Especially at those prices!

My god was this painful to sit through: it’s just not funny at all. The acting is fine, it’s well directed and well staged, but there is simply nothing to do other than stare at the scenery and cringe at the attempts at humor.

Would have sat through Starlight Express again to have avoided this experience!

Icke’s production of Oedipus is one of the best translations of a classical play that I’ve ever seen! Strong and Manville are unsurprisingly both stellar, but the overall cohesiveness of the production is the real draw.  Riveting throughout, those two hours somehow flew by faster than the Tennant Macbeth. I can’t see a world where this doesn’t transfer, at the very least a run at BAM but I think this could support a limited engagement on Broadway. The two would be

Yup, one of those seats was mine (center carriage stage right)!

No hate to anyone who enjoys this production. I loved the Las Vegas sit-down so much that I made my mother take me several times! That was mostly the reason for me going on while on this trip to London: nostalgia. This production is fine, but not as epic as the LV show, at least as I remember it. The weirdness feels a little more cloying as an adult, as a kid, I remember being mind blown by all th

Just leaving Starlight Express…the less that can be said, the better. The 11 year-old-me who saw this in Las Vegas ages ago enjoyed it for a few moments, adult me compelled me to bail after the first act 😆

Saw Macbeth yesterday and the reviews are dead on. It’s a spectacularly acted by its two principals (…supporting cast wasn’t as consistently on the same level, however). The production was thoughtful and novel without being intrusive.

Elated reading this, it was my number one choice but thought I was shut out until a bunch of random premium stall seats opened up.  That also appears to be an option for most dates, much more expensive than I’ve seen in the West End, but “reasonable” from a Broadway ticket price expectation.

I heard this about Duchess, as in tonal problems. Does it seem like something that can be resolved during previews or it’s just going to be a mess for critics?  Also thanks for the heads up about the other shows, I feel less bad about dropping Juno if something more intriguing comes up.
