Denzel Washington to return to Broadway in OTHELLO?

That sweater is everything: presuming the production does not suck, I’m buying. I appreciate that their names are not on it. That’s kinda…gauche.

Reviews portend a transfer, I hope!🤞 Not all raves, but very strong, especially for Larson.

Peter Dinklage, Lupita Nypng'o, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sandra Oh to star in Shakespeare in the Park's TWELFTH NIGHT
 Feb 1 2025, 08:33:31 AM

What Kad said: the only distractions I can recall after nearly two decades of attending SITP would be an occasional helicopter or a curious raccoon strolling on to the stage.

Attending a performance at the Delacorte is almost always a uniquely charming experience, especially on a cool summer night. While I’m probably not sleeping in line overnight outside Central Park ever again, I have some really great memories of having done it. No matter what’s playing, I can

Jamie Lloyd-helmed EVITA revival to play the London Palladium in 2025
 Jan 29 2025, 09:04:53 PM

I always come back to this when I think of the great performances Sara Ramirez would have given had she not gone the TV route. I don’t blame her, she certainly made a lot more than had she limited herself to a Broadway career, but damn, her Lady of the Lake is one of my favorite performances of all time.

Well this comment aged well 😂😂😂

Why the fuxk does anyone care so much about what goes where, and then speak with authority on a subject you searingly know nothing about? Unless you’re a producer, it really shouldn’t matter to you.

And if you’re a producer commenting on this board&h

Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren to star in THE LAST FIVE YEARS Broadway Revival
 Jan 22 2025, 11:01:08 PM

I’m not saying that the previous statements are wrong, I just wonder if someone was there to describe how magical (…or not) that original New York run was like. Especially considering what was happening in New York at the time.

How to get into Candide?

Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren to star in THE LAST FIVE YEARS Broadway Revival
 Jan 17 2025, 10:54:53 PM

I can’t wait for this, regardless of how Joe is, I want to hear a black woman sink her teeth into this role. I was lucky enough to be at town hall for Cynthia. Yes, she needed more time for the lyrics (those prompters were massive and pretty distracting), but she simply killed it. A week of rehearsals and she would rival Sherri for the best Cathy ever.

If anyone has access to a bootleg, please send 🙏

OUR TOWN 2024 Broadway Reviews
 Jan 10 2025, 10:14:19 PM

I’ve never seen any production of Our Town until this evening, and I never ever want to again. Is it blasphemy to say that this isn’t really a very good play?

Congestion pricing

hyangsoo said: "I myself am reducing the shows I see this year and also take my family to. Last year I saw a show every week or every other week on average, and many of them I brought my family. This year - I will probably only see half or less of what I saw in 2024. I do have to drive in and it's not worth the extra time and inconvenience to come in and go home in mass transit in the middle of the night. So I'm going to be very selective of what I see. And I'm reducing m

Playbill leaves Twitter

Wait until you learn that you share the world with them too... it's far easier to just block people you don't like on a social media platform..."

I completely disagree. Try life with limited usage of social media platforms. Got rid of Twitter ages ago and Threads this week.  It’s far easier to live your life without constant scrolling.

MAYBE HAPPY ENDING Reviews

I'd rather be closer, it's a very intimate show."

While I generally agree with this, I’d say one major part of the show gets lost if you’re too close to the stage. I was mid orchestra and thought my vantage was perfect, if that’s an option.
