I got a mailer today from Lincoln Center, which lists Ella Beatty, Billy Crudup, Levon Hawke, Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe as in the cast. Take my money!

Really great cast and I love anything Mark O’Rowe is involved in. It is a little odd this has gotten zero promotion and it starts next month tho.

Given how suddenly this starts previews relative to this kind of under-the-radar casting announcement, does anyone else suspect a last-minute dropout from one (or multiple) of the roles?

I was hearing Lily and Hamish with Ethan Hawke over the summer, but maybe my source was confused.

At 42, she seems a little young for Mrs. Alving, but ah well.

Hawke would be quite interesting considering Uma Thurman played Mrs. Alving at Williamstown in 2019 (and was transcendent).
