She's done.

I like her, too... maybe if she picked some better movies to work on, she'd feel more fulfilled?

I feel like I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed her in Hairspray.

That's disappointing, but her tweet makes it sound like something happened that made her want to quit.

Kad, as small as her role was, I enjoyed her in Hairspray too.

It's a shame. I've loved her since her "All That" days. She's one of the few, attractive starlets of her generation with an actual sense of comedic timing. I'm sad to see her go.

Someone needs to write a book or post something about what Hollywood is really like. Cause it must have taken something major for her to quit acting, when it looks so glamorous all the time.

I have never once found her to be anything special. She's pretty enough for the camera but unthreatening enough that girls of all ages can enjoy her without getting jealous. It's just good marketing. She has good comic timing, granted, but so do a lot of other people in the profession, most of whom are more unique.

This is the same as what happened with Emma (now Charlotte) Watson a few years back.

Will either of them return? Depends if they find they miss it, they need the money, or they get offered a role they can't refuse.

Haha, Taz.
I always found her incredibly bland and she's one of those people you can always tell is "acting." Can't say I'm saddened by the news but can't say I believe her either.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

Emma Watson (aka Hermione Granger) has said repeatedly she never had any desire to be an actress as an adult. Apparently she's also quite the intellectual.
