Ragtime will win for Best Musical Revival. It’s such a wonderful and timely production. I think people are also underestimating the number of American Theater Wing voters too.

Investor monies will only start to dry up once co producers are no longer eligible for Tony Awards. Just lead producers. They mostly only want to continue racking them up. Agree this show needs a big, star name in order to succeed financially - even as good as the reviews are it’s still needed in this economy and cost structure. I’m hopefuL they can find either a Lola or an Applegate with big pull !! Especially with a revival.

It seems the only way for productions to turn a profit is to cast big names, big stars. It’s the reality of the situation. Sorry folks. I don’t see the financial model and cost structures changing anytime soon. And it doesn’t seem that the League is able to affect any change to this model. Sad reality. Who can?

What a fantastic production! To me it totally works. The casting, direction and choreography are top notch. I do think this will do very well once they bring to Broadway. Of course it would financially help if there is a Star name attached somehow. In any of the roles. 🤔
