Peter and the Starcatcher at the New York Theatre Workshop seems right up your alley (if you can get a ticket!) I would also recommend The Dream of the Burning Boy at the Roundabout Blackbox Theatre. It seems to fit your emotional resonance criteria. Also, Alexandra Socha is in it, and you might know her from Spring Awakening. Mormon has a lot of hit-you-over-the-head humor and borrows heavily from other shows (which is really, I guess, most of it's charm). It's a fun show no doubt, but sometimes it's a little obvious. I would maybe see it over H2$, but I would also maybe get a drink from the bar on the way in.

Row J of Mezz, seat 14 (WAYYY on the side) was even fine! I actually prefer getting the big picture in a show like this - you don't really depend heavily on facial expressions for understanding. I'd say go for it, save the money, and see an additional show. You won't miss anything and you'll still leave happy, in my opinion.

I have to say - the younger cast members in the limelight look ready to leave. During the Letterman appearance, Jenn Damiano looked like she'd rather be anywhere else. She was actually picking at her nail polish while the camera was on her...they quickly took a different shot, but it looked rough. I can imagine that edit room...It also looked like she thought Dave gave away some secret when he introduced her as Mary Jane Armstrong...Then again, she seems like kristen-stewart-awkward when it c...

The box office is good with the discount codes. If you can get down there it's worth the discounted ticket to be able to say you've seen it. Definitely best from the flying circle, but see if the box office employees can't work their box office magic and get you to the front of the flying circle.

I just mean that so often we sit through something "horrible" for an hour or two tops, and then go back to our happy lives and forget about the troubles people actually have to endure every day. We can escape it once we leave the stage or theatre, but some people can't escape this stuff. It's sad. I mean, I guess that's life...

There's no denying that Spider-Man: TOTD has had some rough patches in its development, but the show has some haunting, poignant moments that I cannot get out of my head, especially in light of recent world events. I think you have to tread very lightly in these situations. Remember that, while these sound like fun ideas to people who already love this world, to an outsider, this may all sound a tad off-the-wall. At my high school, the arts were highly appreciated and there was still little tolerance for "disturbances" in the school day such as singing or loud/crazy costumes in the hallways.
