Okay, but the post started with talk of MSM and Sara still having passion and of Guido having a lesbian fantasy? So how do we get from that to Liliane and her producer kissing?? Two totally different scenarios -- and subtexts! Yes, I guess live theater does change. We go from no kisses to two!Don't think I can afford to see it again (and Stamos isn't worth seeing again), so I guess I'll remain in the dark on this new twist. . . .

Okay, now I'm totally confused about the kiss.I saw the show twice with Krakowski/Masterson. They had a talk and hug on the balcony when MSM catches the rose from Guido in the canal sequence. Perhaps a cheek to cheek kiss, don't remember.I saw it again on 10/8 with Gettelfinger/MSM and I was on the far right, so I couldn't see the right balcony action. I don't know if Sarah or MSM kissed or not.Now the last poster said that Kitt is kissing somebody and saying "I love it!" in the Folies Berger...

There have been a few discussions on "All That Chat" to which I've contributed opinions. General consensus is that this is not a good role for Stamos. It requires too much of him vocally and physically. He is simply not charismatic enough for the audience to care about a basically unlikeable character. Banderas had the vocals and charisma to overcome and entertain and do the music justice. Stamos can't handle the demands of the role. At least not in the 10/8 matinee, which is early in his run...

Sara Gettelfinger, the new Carla in Nine, is quite tall. I'd say 5'10" or so and full-figured. I give her all kinds of credit for riding that wire up and down every night. Because of her size, she seems braver than Krakowski.BTW, I was at the 10/8 matinee and I think they had just received word of Gettelfinger's promotion. When she and MSM (another tiny actress) came out the stage door they were very cheerful, and MSM actually picked Sara up. Very comical considering their respective sizes! T...

How about Carlin Glynn to replace Chita Rivera?I guess it could be considered a bit of stunt casting since she is MSM's mother, but she is a Tony winner and can certainly play the part. I'd go see it again!!hrh

No, I haven't heard about it, but I've been hoping for it since I saw the show in May. Hopes were rekindled when I saw it again last week and noticed how much it has improved.I've been thinking how great it would be if PBS's "Great Performances" recorded it for broadcast. They'd probably have to air a disclaimer before it or have Jane K. tone down a few moves in order to show it, but this cast is definitely worth preserving on film or disc.
