The animated movie was also a jukebox musical, so it makes sense. I wonder if they'll reuse some of the songs from the movie in the stage version. The version of "Somebody to Love" was excellent and it can be a showstopper, so hopefully it stays. The rest of the tracks are classics, but they feel pretty dated to me.

Can't say I didn't see this coming, but it's still so sad. My beloved DBH! I'll never understand how the producers let this ship sink while losing millions of dollars

I know Michelle was out last week but It feels like DBH’s producers are just waiting to shut it down and be done with it. Since Megan left, grosses have become a nightmare—they didn’t even plan for a replacement duo or bring in a big pop star to replace Michelle and attract a new audience.

DBH needs to do something asap with their cast or they'll close by labor day

Awful numbers for DBH :( - Nothing against Wolfe, but the show is not the same without Hilty imo. I recenly saw Wolfe and it felt a complete different vibe from 2025 shows, but can't explain why. Something big was definitely missing

The cast is okay imo but Juliette Lewis is far from being A-list actor. I like her a lot but let's not dilute ourselves either.

ST had the biggest drop of all the shows in one of the busiest week so that's an indicator of the coming collapse during winter time imo.

Also season 5 part 2 has not been kindly received in terms of WOM so I don't see legs to this finale. And it might affect the Broadway show even more.

You DO realize she's lip synching most of those Broadway songs, right? You can clearly see it when she's lipping 'Let me entertain you' when the mic goes away

 

She can't keep up a full show singing live, let alone a Broadway show 8 times a week

This movie is expected to hit HULU in early 2026. And honestly up to this point the whole cast and crew forgot this movie ever existed

I would not rule out Celine being one of the producers for this Broadway transfer. She needs to keep her legacy alive and this could work as her own jukebox musical... I still think it's a terrible decision. The show is a spoof, fun but not good imo

Titanique Broadway transfer is rumored to be announced this week 

So it seems ST season 5 premiere had some effect on First Shadow and it got it's highest grossing week since opening in April. Now is this enough to sustain it after the holidays? I still see this show closing in 2026
