Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 3/1/26
 Mar 4 2026, 09:52:52 AM

Awful numbers for DBH :( - Nothing against Wolfe, but the show is not the same without Hilty imo. I recenly saw Wolfe and it felt a complete different vibe from 2025 shows, but can't explain why. Something big was definitely missing

The cast is okay imo but Juliette Lewis is far from being A-list actor. I like her a lot but let's not dilute ourselves either.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 1/4/26
 Jan 6 2026, 06:35:50 PM

ST had the biggest drop of all the shows in one of the busiest week so that's an indicator of the coming collapse during winter time imo.

Also season 5 part 2 has not been kindly received in terms of WOM so I don't see legs to this finale. And it might affect the Broadway show even more.

I still see this show closing this year

Jennifer Lopez Sings Broadway
 Jan 3 2026, 09:36:26 AM

You DO realize she's lip synching most of those Broadway songs, right? You can clearly see it when she's lipping 'Let me entertain you' when the mic goes away

She can't keep up a full show singing live, let alone a Broadway show 8 times a week

This Oscar Season Don’t Forget About ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’

This movie is expected to hit HULU in early 2026. And honestly up to this point the whole cast and crew forgot this movie ever existed

I would not rule out Celine being one of the producers for this Broadway transfer. She needs to keep her legacy alive and this could work as her own jukebox musical... I still think it's a terrible decision. The show is a spoof, fun but not good imo

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 11/30/25

So it seems ST season 5 premiere had some effect on First Shadow and it got it's highest grossing week since opening in April. Now is this enough to sustain it after the holidays? I still see this show closing in 2026

ABBA Voyage Plans Global Second Venue on Hell’s Kitchen’s 11th Avenue
 Nov 28 2025, 09:54:37 AM

I thought they were aiming for Vegas since tit has better chances for a hologram concert. But I suppose the decline in Vegas over the past few years influenced their decision to change the location. The show has been a massive hit in the UK but also Abba has always been way more popular in Europe so I don't know how it'll do in the US. My biggest concern is ticket price in NYC tbh.

It might find its audience, I know I'd like to see it at least once. I heard great thing

Netflix just raised their rates again. In the time it's taken me to type this post, they've made enough money to pay for another 6 months of the show.

Will The Lost Boys Break Broadway's Vampire Musical Curse?
 Oct 30 2025, 05:51:08 PM

It's hard to predict but I don't see a bright future for this production. They should have given an out of town try out first before comitting to Broadway imo. I believe they're relaying on The Outsiders success, but that one got a good WOM in San Diego.

This musical seems to be someone's vanity project, too expensive, risky, and based on a movie not many people is familar with.

Jamie Lloyd on Evita coming to Broadway "trying to find a theatre with a balcony"
 Sep 29 2025, 02:51:15 PM

I don't think this scene would work in the US tbh. It's a way more dangerous environment than the UK. I'm not saying they won't find a way to do it, but doing it on a open space without security... a big no for me!
