In any case, this is the cheapest way to put on a show. No sets. Virtually no costumes. It is simply a black box concert version. Literally and figuratively an underwear version. In principle, they could do the entire show on the sidewalk like ham4ham, albeit behind bulletproof glass, or in a tent in central park. My point is that this concept gives a lot of flexibility. Another option is in the front section of every cinema hall in the city. And yes, I am being serious. As long as
Wow. Now I am definitely not going to see this show. Using the terms neurodiverse or disabled is not an excuse for terrible behaviour and claiming the rights to everything.

Well, I care about what I visit and pay money for. I see neurodiverse people in every show, so that is not what is going to attract me to this particular production.

Good point, they can put whoever they want on stage and I hope they have fun. Cutting them slack is the kindest way to handle it.
But I do have some questions about it. Everyone is ne

Someone specifically asked for the explanation, so I thought it would be respectful to give it. Also, I love Lea as a singer, this is just not her song. And these kind of timing-errors are not a matter of taste.

Yes, we might have different visions of the word "queer". I think the original Cats is extremely queer. To me, it means more than acting as cheap/trashy as possible. It's layered, fun and classy. In fact, what they do in Jellicle Ball has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Personally I think the style of the show is a bit boring. I understand the concept of "spreading queer joy" and "fabulous queer-of-color celebration" as others have described, but I think it has all been seen and done before. It is exactly what we have seen in drag bars and tv shows for decades now. But then the cheapest version of that. I like to see this community as more than complete cheapness. I think there could have been much more cool, classy, creative ways to

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately it has nothing to do with reality. Please try again. My initial posts and reactions are always on-topic (unlike yours). According to a September 2025 report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the U.S. domestic terrorism landscape has seen a "striking reversal" in 2025. Left-wing terrorist attacks and plots have outnumbered those from the far right. Decreased Right-Wing Activity. Rising Left-Wing Activity. <

Does she have a bit more nuance in her singing in this show than in Evita? There, she was blasting everything at one deafening volume without any finesse whatsoever. Even the first line of "Surprisingly Good for You" was deafening and aggressive. Unfortunately Patti had that too.

Welcome to reality. The rapidly growing numbers since 2025 are not encouraging. The other side is plummeting, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
