Chances of a Jekyll & Hyde or Wildhorn Return?

While revisiting a guilty pleasure album today (the Anthony Warlow of course), it then led me back through Pimpernel and Civil War before realizing how many new projects Wildhorn has had over in Europe and Asia. Are any worth a listen or have a shot at heading this way?

I also thought there was talk at one point about both a film version of Jekyll and a smaller scale revival? Did those both die? (bloody murder?)

I don't know about NY...but if you are coming to Chicago this fall, there is an incredible production that is being done with Broadway in Chicago.

This is a production from Kokandy, a store front non-equity theater here in Chicago, that was done last fall and it was brilliant. They set it in a victorian era operating room with a 19 piece orchestra. This production did so well it kept extending, and this fall it is returning in one of the larger houses here in Chicago. I'm someone who is not a fan of the show itself, but loooved this production.

Producing has only become more costly and risk-averse. With a track record like Wildhorn's, any sensible producer would steer clear. And perhaps even the most foolish producers would have hesitancy.

There's a reason that he's only working overseas these days. If any of his recent projects were any good and had viability, they would've been brought over. They haven't.

THE CIVIL WAR could make for a great Encores show.

She would never do it as Eder is adverse to 8-show weeks, but I'd love to see something written for her by Frank that would continue to show off her voice.

Honestly, she can still sing most any show he's already written for her, but it's more an aging out thing.

Who the heck is Ben Jones? He was never in Jekyll and Hyde. Also Luba was a terrible Lucy
