Re: Mona Pirnot’s “I Became We” at Atlantic Theater Company
Saw this over the weekend and loved it. It's smart, funny, and touching. Definitely worth a trip downtown.

Re: A FEW GOOD MEN Previews
Also, any reports of this being musical-theatre-like are from people who haven't seen this play. Or the entire direction of the play changed radically before last night.I thought Whitford was quite good. His line readings and rhythms during the "you can't handle the truth" scene are very different than Nicholson's. Tom Blyth is incredibly likable and winnable as Kaffee. But he went up quite a few times on his lines last night. It slowed down a few scenes where he had to remember where he was.

They're from a Press Performance that were uploaded to Second Stage Theater's YouTube page, for a show that's scheduled to open 13

Jasmine was the only name I could even remotely think of, but she's not going to pull out of The Sound of Music.

The Distinctive Baritone said: "She can’t commit to a man or a show it seems. What a huge letdown for all of the people who were depending on her. Will the production even happen now?"That's a gross comment. Someone focusing on their own health and well being has nothing to do with their love life or committing to a show.
Re: Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande in SITPWG?
Wishing her the absolute best. I hope she gets to play this part someday if she wants to.
Josh Grisetti has passed away…
This is such terrible news. He was a unique talent and a lovely person.

It's the students' performances that qualify them for one of the various scholarships/awards."This is incorrect- there are specific roles and shows that are eligible for Jimmy awards and many that are not- see this list:

I think Samia picked the most relatable song for a high schooler, which is why she excelled (and of course had excellent vocals as well). I do find it confusing how students are able to attend the Jimmys multiple times - this was Samia's third time there, a finalist every year she appeared. Clearly she's great but it...

Rachel Ziegler has a very nice voice, but I don't understand the purpose of this segment. Show extended footage, clips, quotes, anything? Invite the original cast on stage? Anything?

Letting Nathan Lane give that speech for the production was a classy move.

I can't imagine The Lost Boys sold any tickets from that, specifically, but their cast has done a very good job tonight selling their show.
