DEATH BECOMES HER To Close on Broadway June 28, 2026

I still don't understand why they didn't do more stunt casting..

Death Becomes Her is a VERY physical show. You need to really be able to do the physical comedy as well as everything else.

CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY 2026 Previews

willep said: "So is it a set script that they just divide between however many actors/celebs they have on a given night? I noticed it's not the same number of people each night."

I imagine every performance is different. There was no Mr. T. segment tonight.

Saw the evening show. It's very uneven. When it's funny, it's very, very, very funny. Jackie Hoffman and Andrea Martin were great. Jeff Hiller and Christopher Jackson, also.

I really disliked everything Mario Cantone was doing. Just read the material, It doesn't need your impressions.

Rita Wilson was fine -- if there weren't a better impression of Celine Dion being done a few blocks away, this would have been quite funny.

Definitely worth it for

I keep getting ads for Mothers Day tickets. Maybe they are waiting for those shows to be over?

Shows don't normally close in the middle of a week. They announce on a Tuesday (normally) that the show will be closing on such

It puzzles me how obsessed and excited this board is for dozens of people to become unemployed. The show isn’t great. We all know this, but chill out. Go touch grass. Breathe outside the theater bubble. Would you want a bunch of people guessing when you’d be fired? Humanity much?

It's puzzling

Eugene O’Neil Theatre on fire!!

Kad said: "I imagine that if the building must be closed for the short term, like 6 months or fewer, they will be able to ride it out thanks to insurance and the money behind the production. If we’re looking at a longer timeframe, then I have to thinkthat closure will be likely. But there isn’t enough information to go off of right now.

i don’t know how long folks working on the production will receive full paychecks for, though. At some point, they will

Respectfully, nobody in the mainstream tourist/ticket buying audience is going on an actress's YT channel.

THE BALUSTERS Previews

This felt like a draft or two away from being a very, very good play.

Some wonderful writing, and some very on-the-nose, paint-by-numbers writing. It's an enjoyable evening, but not life-changing by any means.

This play very much needed to give its antagonist the best argument, and it just... doesn't. (Unlike Eureka Day last season. The closest it comes is when

Leslie manville on audience behavior ..

I don't care what anyone does in the audience if it doesn't ruin someone else's experience. Recently, I've been at two shows where VERY tall men have decided they needed a booster seat in the front rows of the orchestra. Like, let's maybe start there and not worry about someone taking photo when the show is over.

Two Strangers probably had Best Book locked up months ago, being (I think) the only original book.

I mean, you can think whatever you want about the choice of car. (I was right up front and didn't see the boombox, I guess we were too far over.) The costumes other than maybe Happy's are 1940s era. There are no script changes at all. It's 1948.

Joe Mantello strips it of excess homage and places it down center with a startling immediacy. Gone is the poetic prism on the house. But it’s not bare bones deconstruction; the world of the play has a decided theatrical capture but freed of 1948 specific tropes. The audacious movement to the early 60s gives the text a different post war context, since Miller anticipa

I think they don't usually release discount codes until they know they will last through the summer.

RippedMan said: "I mean it literally just started previews. I'd wait until reviews come out, word of mouth, the cast do the talk shows, etc."

It's not like this is a new show, though, or new to New York.

Two Strangers is going to run away with Best Book, Best Score, and probably Best Musical.

It's important to take every message with a grain of salt. These days, influencers are paid to come on here and say nice things.

plus, nothing is open right now outside of a grocery store. Most of NJ got 2 feet and it's still incredibly windy.

Grocery stores/coffee shops in my part of Manhattan are largely open, or opening by noon. MTA is running regular schedule. It's just going to come down to how

With the travel ban through noon tomorrow, I can't imagine that's going to be happening either.
