A lot of the TodayTix rush seats appear to be on the further sides, many marked partial view, and I'm debating whether to go that route or just plan ahead and do TDF for a later performance..."you do miss a lot of an important scene in act 1 if you are seated in the far left side of the orchestra.

saw this last night and thought it was quite good - runtime was down to 2h50m, a couple of things dragged in act 2, but seems like not as much as people have mentioned in this thread. I also didn't notice the spoiler that was mentioned above, so that may have been removed.

Definitely a lot of comps this first week since the audience (as far as I saw) was remarkably more full than what was sold on Telecharge."I was at the 5th preview ofPurlie Victorious, andKenny Leon came out for an introduction. He asked people to hang in there with the show and was really pushing people who like it to post about it on social media.Maybe I was misinterpreting, but he seems very nervous about...

Cape Twirl of Doom said: "Yeah I also thought a lot of the jokes were really forced. “No one will still be talking about this movie in 50 years.” “We’ll never have a more loathsome President than Nixon.”Ha ha ha, see it’s funny cause they both are untrue statements. Such wit. (And there were a lot of these kinds of jokes.)The performances were great and I loved the relationship between Shaw & Dreyfuss (it is eerie how much Ian Shaw looks and sounds like his father) but yeah the play itself di...

"How was the show itself?"very fun and original. it's my new favorite play of the season. my friends who saw it downtown had told me it was great and i was not disappointed. Hardly any first preview jitters, which makes sense with the full cast transfer. I know there had been some discussion about this not working well in a traditional auditorium but I thought the set design was great. If forced to offer one criticism it would be that the exaggerated southern accent for the character of Tedra ...

I was there last night, really enjoyed this show and it was a fun first preview atmosphere. At the curtain they acknowledged all the Broadway debuts in the cast and creative team, and also invited up several other people from the audience who have made their debuts in other productions this season.

Echoing this - she was great last night!
