So my cousin and I have been debating about whether the Wedding Singer was a show before the movie. I told her it wasnt and that the movie inspired the musical that just came out. And she said that she has heard that there was a musical called the Wedding Singer that inspired the movie. Who's right?

Do they do the Thriller Dance in The Wedding Singer. I havent seen it but I thought I saw a bit of that dance in the commercail for it.
