Still a big difference between disclosing right before someone is going to give you money, instead of disclosing with the original announcement when they obviously knew her dates. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think the problem is that there was never an official announcement she would only be in the show until August 2. They have been heavily marketing it with her name since announcing last year, yet they never mentioned she's only doing half the run?

Sure, it was listed when purchasing tickets, but what if you went to first look at the dates before buying a ticket? The announcement is only visible once you click on a time. Plenty of people are going to look at the dates and times and

I've been to a few Mary's first nights and each time they've always had the new administration's merch for sale. I would expect them to have Meg shirts, but its always a possibility they will not.

Why would they announce it before Meg even starts? They want to sell tickets for Meg, so announcing her replacement prior to her starting could hinder people from buying tickets.

Maya started April 28 and Meg was announced May 13. If Meg was leaving tomorrow, then it would make sense to be confused that they haven't announced her replacement. But they have no reason to announce before she has even started.

I also saw it 3 times between Broadway and Off-Broadway, and didn't see much of a radical difference between the two excellent productions of a fantastic play. My glasses are from Warby Parker if you're looking for new ones by the way.

Why is it that when a director has one bad production everyone starts having concerns and doubts about their future work? Yes, White's Last Five Years didn't work, but she's also had Liberation, Jordans, Jaja's African Hair Braiding, On Sugarland, What to Send Up When It Goes Down, Our Dear Dead Drug Lord. Does everything have to be perfect?

Mystic Pizza was equally as terrible as Beaches. It has no business being on Broadway, but if they want to waste their money go ahead.

Have they changed the brand of binders they use in recent years?

It was 100x better on Broadway and I loved it, but this new production is god awful. It's intermission and I can barely stay awake. The original had so much heart in it and this production feels like a sanitation with all its heavy handedness and cliches. There's no nuance. Every plot point is flown through because there are 4 different plot lines to get through.

I mean it's very much a play. Play's don't all have to have a message. If you look at the script, it's actually not written for one person. Jack chose to do it as such. Subsequent productions will probably be fully cast. 

I also think its supposed to real like a podcast, but so much true crime is of a podcast story form nature even Dateline. It comes with the territory. It's playing with the form of a play and true crime podcasts.

But to say it's not

Does "Attica" actually work for Dog Day Afternoon? I'm seeing adverts from the show with the code linking to ATG and when you click it applies the discount code to the calendar, but once you click into a performance it say "Promo code is not valid for this event." 

Why are they advertising the code with the quote "Last Chance"? Its not like these are old ads from when it first started; these are directed for the end of the run.

This is an adaptation of the book. Not an adaptation of the movie. The book is narrated by Susanna and you do not read Daisy's suicide as it has. Sit down, relax, and understand the source material because you make inane comments.

Very much disagree. It's an excellent play and maybe just not for you. A lot is going on, but it's conversing with gender, race and love in a very modern way especially for black men.

Yeah that's exactly what she did. She put her own spin on it.

She was absolutely incredible! Holy crap, I can't believe that was her first performance. She flubbed a few lines, but was shooting cylinders the rest of the time. Great chemistry with everyone. She plays is like a bratty teenager and has such different delivery compared to her predecessor. I can't wait to go back and see what she's like in a few weeks.
