Okay, must share this story again. I saw the show in February, and was sitting next to a group of elderly women. When Marian sang this part, one of the women turned to one of her friends and said, "What IS her secret?" To which the other woman instantly replied, "Oh, she's pregnant."

Best Rent "warning": www.screenit.com informed me that, along with all the other things they objected to, "It's possible the film could inspire some kids to break into song and/or dance." A friend of mine found this statement and sent it to me asking, "Is this a BAD thing?"

100% agree on Shiksa Goddess. It is my absolute favorite song from the entire show. Actually, I was *not* a huge fan of the show, but then I actually sat down and listened to that particular song and it managed to hook me on Norbert, Last 5 Years, and Jason Robert Brown all at once. Also, while we're on the subject of JRB, I nominate Come Up To My Office from Parade. This is my favorite song in the show, but everybody else always raves about the ballad songs. I only saw the show once (last week), but they most definitely cheered on the "Amber...GO!" line. But then again the section we were in had a large group of very enthusiastic people who were cheering for everything.

Story about the secret: I was in New York last week and saw TWIW. At the very end, when Marian says she has a secret, there was a brief discussion from the older women next to me. "Wait, wait, what's her secret?" (Very matter-of-fact) "Oh, she's pregnant." Gee... I didn't get *that* at all. Besides, that wouldn't remain a secret for very long, now would it?
