Boys in the Chorus Who Happen to be HOT! Aug 14 2004, 11:10:44 PM
Has anyone actually purchased the DVD or VHS recording of the Broadway Bares event from broadwaybeat.com? After reading some of the previous posts, I went to their site and printed out the order form, and I plan to order a copy. I just wanted to know if anyone could comment on the quality and/or content of the recording? Thanks in advance, ujculbe

Someone who is planning to video this or TiVo the one-hour version broadcast on WNBC-4, let me know. I'd like to see this, but will not be able to make it up to NYC for it-- sounds like lots of fun. ujculbe

re: avenue q Aug 11 2004, 09:07:32 PM
I have to add my two cents here.. I went to NYC for the first time in February 2004. I was able to see four shows-- Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Producers (with Matthew B. and Nathan L.) and Avenue Q. Although The Producers was funny, Chicago was good, Phantom of the Opera not all I expected, Avenue Q turned me on to Broadway... As a matter of fact, I saw it again when I came back to the city two weeks ago. I LOVE THE SHOW! I understand that its merits have been debated, but I lis

Question for all of you "veteran" theatergoers... I was planning a trip to NYC over Thanksgiving weekend, and I thought I'd see bare during this trip. Can anyone comment on cast during holiday performances?? (as in, will understudies be filling several roles during holiday performances, as the lead actors will go home for the holidays-- or do they treat these performances just as important as any other??) Since I live in Arkansas and don't have the luxury of going to NYC that often (although

Bare in Elle magazine! Aug 9 2004, 01:05:58 PM
After listening to the promo tracks for many many days now, I find something new to like each time I listen. After going to the bare cast concert in NYC, I am definitely hooked. I can't wait for my next trip to NYC to see the show. I have to say that my favorite line of any from the music is from "See Me" (a song which I am sure many can relate to) "Peter, you tend to dramatize..." "There's a reason for that, Mother... Open Your Eyes!!!" Just my 2cents-- uj

Ardenites! Aug 6 2004, 12:00:42 AM
Hello everyone, I posted some pictures on the site after the concert on Sunday night. I also have some video that I took with the same camera at the concert. There are four clips: 55 secs, 42 secs, 44 secs and 1 min 9 secs. I wanted to make sure that a link to these was allowed before I posted one. I know that I would like to see them if I wasn't able to attend the show, I would like to post for those who weren't able to attend. I appreciate any guidance from those in the k

Ardenites! Aug 2 2004, 01:34:41 AM
I just got back to my hotel room and cropped the pictures from tonight's show. I was sitting in the table directly in front of the performers. Although it was nice to get their spit on me, the pictures were up close, but not at the best angle. I very much enjoyed the show, but I believe that I read somewhere on one of the threads that it was supposed to last around 2 hours, and it, of course, lasted just one hour. I got my picture taken with Michael, which made my night!!!

re: Cheap yet well located hotels... Jul 30 2004, 11:52:37 AM
If you don't have to get a particular hotel, I've had success with Priceline. You can use www.biddingfortravel.com to gauge the demand for the rooms during the time that you are planning your trip. You can also see what bids have been accepted by Priceline from other users. I used this method to get a room at the Marriott Marquis for this weekend for $110. The normal rate was $219 on the Marriott site. Good luck on your plans!

It's Only Life tickets? Jul 30 2004, 10:23:38 AM
I am coming to NYC this weekend, and I'd like to see Michael Arden in the "It's Only Life" production. However, I noticed that both of the Saturday performances and the Sunday performance were sold out. I read that the theater in which the production is being held seats only 72, so that explains it. During my last trip to NYC, I was able to score turnback tickets for The Producers. So, I thought there might be a chance that I could get tickets to this show. Can anyone tell me if there is a

Question about bare cast concert at Joe's Pub Jul 26 2004, 10:43:10 PM
Hi all, I am visiting the city this weekend, and scored tickets today to the Joe's Pub bare cast party on Sunday night. Does anyone know if they allow cameras for those kind of events? After seeing Michael Arden's picture on theatremania.com, I just had to attend!!! Thanks in advance, Joel
